πͺ‘ JESUS
You Are EL CHAY
(pronounced: el KHYE / el CHAI)
The Living God
Here we are.
After learning His promises...
After declaring His Word...
After calling out His names...
We arrive at one final truth:
HE LIVES.
π Joshua 3:10 (KJV)
βAnd Joshua said, Hereby ye shall know that the living God is among you...β
Not merely the God who was.
Not only the God our parents or grandparents knew.
Not simply the God of Abraham, Moses, Hannah, David, or Paul.
Not a God confined to stories printed on the pages of our Bibles.
The Living God.
π El Chay.
And this is why we spent this journey learning who He is.
We didn't learn His names simply to increase our biblical vocabulary.
We learned His names so when life gave us a reason to need what those names revealβ
we would know WHO to call on.
When we needed provision, we learned He is Jehovah-Jireh.
When we needed healing, we learned He is Jehovah-Rapha.
When we needed peace, we learned He is Jehovah-Shalom.
When we felt unseen, we learned He is El Roi.
When we reached the end of our ability, we learned He is El Shaddai.
When we wanted control, we learned He is Adonai.
When we saw nothing to work with, we learned He is Elohim.
When we didn't understand, we learned He is El De'ah.
When voices competed for our attention, we learned He is El Emet.
And now we learn:
He isn't simply the God who DID those things.
He is the Living God.
π₯ You aren't calling on a name from history. You're calling on the Living God.
And JESUS makes that truth undeniable.
π Revelation 1:18 (KJV)
βI am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.β
The cross wasn't the end.
The tomb wasn't the end.
Death wasn't the end.
Jesus walked out.
The One we have been declaring throughout this journey is not lying in a grave somewhere.
HE IS ALIVE.
And because He lives, our faith isn't built only upon what God did yesterday.
We can trust Him today.
The same Jesus who met people in Scripture still changes hearts.
The same Jesus who forgave still forgives.
The same Jesus who restored still restores.
The same Jesus who spoke truth still speaks through His Word.
The same Jesus who conquered the graveβ
still lives.
But here's where this final declaration becomes personal.
After all these declarations, the question isn't simply:
βDo I know another name of God?β
The question is:
βHas knowing who He is changed how I live?β
Because that has been the purpose from the beginning.
Not simply to know Scripture.
But to access it.
To remember what we know when fear comes.
To remember what we know when circumstances change.
To remember what we know when we're hurting, waiting, questioning, celebrating, obeying, or standing in a place where we cannot see what comes next.
And thenβ
live like we know it.
πͺ‘ Our Final Show What You Know Challenge
After everything you've learned, ask yourself:
Now that I know... what will I show?
Will my life show that I know my Provider?
Will my response show that I know my Peace?
Will my obedience show that I know my Lord?
Will my faith show that I know the Almighty?
Will my choices show that I know the Truth?
Will the way I live show that I knowβ
THE LIVING GOD?
π James 1:22 (KJV)
βBut be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.β
Knowing was never supposed to be the finish line.
Living it is.
π Our Final Prayer
βJesus, You are El Chay, the Living God. Thank You for every truth You have taught me and every part of Your character Your Word has revealed. Don't let what I have learned remain only words I know. Teach me to access Your Word when I need it, trust Your character when I cannot understand, call upon Your name with confidence, and live in a way that shows I truly know You. You were faithful yesterday. You are alive and present today. And You will still be God tomorrow. Let my life become evidence of what I say I believe. In Jesus' name, Amen.β
π€ One Final Reflection
We learned His names so we could know His character.
We learned His character so we could trust His Word.
We learned His Word so when life gives us a reason to need what we knowβ
WE KNOW WHO TO CALL ON.
JESUS.
You were there then.
You are here now.
And You will still be God tomorrow.
π JESUS!
You Are EL CHAY.
THE LIVING GOD.
Know His name.
Say His name.
Know what His name means.
Know what His name reveals.
And when life gives you a reason to need that truthβ
ACCESS IT.
Then don't only tell the world what you know.
SHOW WHAT YOU KNOW.
Know Jesus.
Live Jesus.
Show Jesus.
