** Prayer for the Consecration of the United States to the Sacred Heart **

O Most Sacred Heart of Jesus:
You know the longings of our hearts,
and you desire that we enjoy friendship with you.

From your pierced side,
you have poured out the wellspring of
life, for which we thirst.
Your heart burns with a love for all people to return to a right
relationship with you.

We celebrate the abundant gifts you have given this nation,
founded on the self-evident truths
that our Creator has endowed all people
with the right to life, liberty,
and the pursuit of happiness.

We make reparation for the offenses against you
and against human dignity
that have taken place in this nation.

May our hearts be united to yours,
so that our families and communities
enjoy peace and happiness;
may broken relationships be reconciled,
injustices repaired,
and the wounds of our land be healed.

May your holy Catholic Church serve as a sign,
pointing all people to your infinite love.

O Desire of Nations and Center of History,
we ask you to bless these United States of America.
Who live and reign with God the Father
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
God, for ever and ever.

Amen.

disfruten de paz y felicidad;

“Tonight’s prayer vigil with Pope Leo XIV turned Madrid into a giant chapel under the open sky: 600,000 young people, absolute silence, and Jesus in the Eucharist at the center. Only Jesus can draw 600,000 people to their knees in silence with the Pope in Spain.”

On the night of June 5, the 2026 National Eucharistic Pilgrimage arrived in Washington, D.C., bringing Christ—present in the Eucharist—to the heart of the nation during the year of the United States' 250th anniversary.

After traveling more than 2,000 miles over six weeks, the pilgrimage carries the Eucharist through cities and communities across the country, accompanied by nine young adults known as "Perpetual Pilgrims" and thousands of participants along the route. Father Charles Trullols, director of the Catholic Information Center, accompanied the Eucharist as it crossed the Arlington Memorial Bridge—a powerful symbol of national unity and reconciliation—thereby reflecting the pilgrimage’s motto: "One Nation Under God." This crossing marked a profound moment, bringing Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace, to the heart of the nation's capital.

Subsequently, the pilgrimage vehicle arrived at the National Mall, where Father Trullols carried the Eucharist alongside the nine Perpetual Pilgrims to impart a symbolic blessing upon the nation, with the Washington Monument and the U.S. Capitol serving as a backdrop.

This is more than a journey; it is a public witness to devotion, spiritual renewal, and the enduring presence of Christ in the Eucharist.
