As I am sitting here in the airport this morning, waiting for our flight to prepare for boarding. I am sitting across from the coffee shop that I just got my morning caffeine at, and I keep hearing the noise that one of the online money platforms use like Venmo, Cash app, PayPal or Square. You know the old Cha Ching sound. Their cash register makes that noise every time somebody pays for their order. Each time the noise is made their bank account gets a little bit bigger.
As I kept hearing the sound, the Lord impressed on my heart that this would be the season of increase. Increase doesn’t always mean money or monetary gain alone. It means all the positive things in your life have the potential to increase. Each time I heard the “CHA CHING”, I thought relationships will be healed, resources will be bountiful, storehouses will be unlocked, positions and promotions all will come to fruition.
Many of you know the verse from Luke, chapter 6, that talks about give and it shall be given unto you. These words are in red, which means they are the words of Jesus himself speaking. However did you ever catch the six words that he said right before he talked about giving and it shall be given unto you?
It’s part of God‘s law of sowing and reaping. It says forgive and you will be forgiven. I don’t believe it’s a coincidence that that is what he said right before he talked about give, and it shall be given unto you.
““Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.””
~Luke 6:37-38 NKJV
I know God is not a genie in a bottle. We cannot just wish for prosperity or blessing. There is an action we must take, and the benefit of that action is His blessings will flow, but we have a requirement first. I don’t know about the rest of you, but I want his blessings to flow. I will choose to forgive, and I will choose to give. His Word says that I will be forgiven by Him, and the giving that I do will be given back unto me.
I challenge you today to join me! Sow into the Kingdom of God by forgiving others and giving and see what God will do. Taste and see that the Lord is good.
