Yesterday, we received three new members into the life of our church: Kelly, Carol, and Mary. As our five week worship series, “Rooted in Christ: Love Boldly” drew to a close, we reflected on the fifth and final baptismal vow of membership and then we all remembered our baptism. Did you know The United Methodist Church has a new vision statement? We are called to “form disciples of Jesus Christ who, empowered by the Holy Spirit, love boldly, serve joyfully, and lead courageously in local communities and worldwide connections.”

This summer, we are joining other United Methodist Churches in the Baltimore-Washington and Peninsula-Delaware Conferences in exploring our charge to “love boldly” through the lens of our baptismal vows. This new worship series, “Rooted in Christ: Love Boldly” kicked off this past Sunday and will last until Sunday, August 9. Join us on the journey. You are welcome here! 🌈🏳️‍⚧️

Join us on Thursday, July 30 at 6:30 p.m. as we welcome author Nico Lang (they/them) to Baltimore to discuss their book, American Teenager, which depicts the joys and hardships of everyday life for transgender kids living in this hostile, turbulent time.

Lang is a nonbinary, award-winning journalist whose work has appeared in major publications, and American Teenager is a national bestseller and award winning book! Join us for an informal discussion of the book and a meet and greet with the author. Copies of the book will be available for purchase. Spread the word and bring a friend!
