Last week we had a wonderful turnout for our Calm in the Chaos support group and were blessed to spend time encouraging one another while creating Mother’s Day flower arrangements together.

So grateful for the community, connection, and safe space being built through Serving God’s Children 🌿

STOP! ✋🏽

Please don't scroll on by thinking because you can't foster or adopt that you can’t do anything, because you can. Everyone can.

May is National Foster Care Awarness Month & it is a chance for you to see how to integrate yourself into our world. Many will do nothing because they simply don't know what they can do. Not everybody is going to be called to foster or adopt, or even respite care & babysitting; but you can still do so much for those who are. So many people see foster parents as superheroes who can do it all; but we are not & we cannot, without your help.

Foster parents often feel isolated, buried in the trenches & to be honest, we often don’t know how we will survive the day. Mounds of paperwork & medical appointments & trauma behaviors, court dates, parent visits, investigations, social workers, lawyers & I could keep going on & on; but you get my point.

You don't have to do it all, but you can do something, because each kind gesture & every act of compassion says to us "I see you, I appreciate you & you are not alone."

We had such a wonderful time participating in the Baskets, Bunnies & Blessings community event! 🐰🧺

It was a blessing to be there as a resource for families and connect with so many children and families in our community.

Thank you to Senator Shannon Grove and CityServe for hosting such a beautiful event and allowing us to be part of serving families together. 💚🙏🏽
