It is a love that does not change, fully shown in Jesus Christ, and the reason we can have a living hope.

Pastor Phil opened our summer Psalm series with Psalm 6 in a message called Rescued from Despair. He showed how David cries out, “Save me,” not just from enemies but from the weight of his own failure before God. David’s exhaustion—“I am weary”—captures the deep spiritual fatigue many believers feel when they’ve let themselves down. Yet the turning point comes when David declares, “The Lord has heard,” reminding us that God meets us with mercy even when our despair is partly self‑inflicted. It’s a powerful picture of grace breaking into the darkest places of the soul.
