Acts chapter 3 was powerful! From the healing of the lame man to Peter’s sermon, there was so much that stood out to me.

Peter didn’t have money to give the man, but he had something greater. He told him to rise up and walk in the name of Jesus Christ. Peter took him by the hand, and the man received his healing by faith. Immediately his feet and ankles became strong, and he entered the temple praising God!

Verse 19 especially stood out to me: “Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.”

When I studied that, I saw the “times of refreshing” as the outpouring of the Holy Spirit for those who repent and are converted. It made me think about how we are in a time of refreshing right now because you are doing revival all year, operating in that evangelistic space so people can be refreshed.

Verse 21 and the “restitution of all things” also stood out to me. It reminds us that Jesus remains in heaven until the fullness of time when God restores all things to Himself.

Some people didn’t believe until they saw the miracle, the power, and the demonstration operating through the apostles. It shows the boldness and authority we hold in the Kingdom.

I am walking in that boldness, authority, and confidence!

Acts 2 was so eye-opening for me. There is so much meat in this chapter, from understanding what Pentecost actually was, to the rushing mighty wind, the miracle of language, and the fulfillment of Joel 2:28–29.

What really spoke to me were verses 42–47 and the characteristics of a Spirit-filled church: Apostles’ teaching, fellowship, breaking of bread, prayer, signs and wonders, sharing community, and making disciples.

When I looked at those characteristics, I saw myself in all seven. I love to teach. I love fellowship and breaking bread over meals. I’m drawn to community through things like the Kingdom Builders Network, and I’ve even had prayer lines with my family and friends.

I didn’t realize why I always felt this deep need to gather people and be in community, but now I see these are the markers of a Spirit-filled church. And since I am the church, it all aligns!

This was truly the start of the Spirit-filled church, and I’m on fire about how these truths connect to my own calling.

Acts 1 really had me thinking about the power Jesus promised the Apostles.

That dunamis power is so much more than human strength or natural ability. It is the power to witness effectively for Christ to the lost.

What also stood out to me was the divine order of replacing Judas, the reminder that Jesus is coming back the same way He left, and the instruction to wait in Jerusalem until the power came.

The practical part for us now is that we have to seek God for that same Holy Ghost power and wait for it to come upon us. We can’t do anything in our own strength. We truly need the Holy Ghost even to be an effective witness in this hour. acts.docx
