Is it well with me?

In all transparency, sometimes it is…and at other times, it’s not.

This week’s reflection was inspired by the beloved hymn It "Is Well With My Soul" and the reminder that wellness of the soul is not the absence of hardship, sorrow, or uncertainty, but the quiet work of God’s grace within.

Perhaps being able to whisper, “It is well with my soul” is itself a gift of grace.

I’d love for you to read this week’s reflection (in the comments)

Love this! What a powerful image of choosing to be poured out for the Lord instead of sitting unused and rusting.

We all wander sometimes.

This week I found myself reflecting on an old family memory from when one of our sons wandered off during a trip to Chattanooga. What began as a moment of panic became a reminder of how easily our hearts can drift amid the distractions and busyness of life.

But the good news is this: our Heavenly Father comes looking for us. He gently calls us back to Himself again and again.

This week’s blog is a reflection on wandering, distraction, grace, and returning our gaze to God.

“Come back to me with all your heart…”

What do you write about when you have nothing to write?

I had one of those days this week—sitting, waiting, hoping for words that just wouldn’t come.

But maybe the absence of inspiration is an invitation.

An invitation to listen more deeply to what’s stirring in our hearts—and to the God who is waiting for us.

If you’ve ever felt stuck, uninspired, or unsure what’s next, I hope this reflection blesses you.

A week and a half ago, we gathered to witness our daughter marry the love of her life.

In the midst of the celebration, one word kept returning to me: tapestry.

All the relationships, the years, the unseen ways God has been at work, it felt like a glimpse of something sacred. A reminder that He is always weaving our lives together, even when we cannot see the full design.

Sometimes life feels like being lost at sea…

But here’s the truth: God is not distant

He is waiting.
Watching.
Longing.

Ready to reach out to you.

If you’ve been feeling far from Him, I hope this blesses you.

Even in the joy of the empty tomb, there’s a quiet invitation: don’t forget the cross.

Because following Jesus requires the cross.
