SUNDAY MORNING MINISTRY MOMENT
THE HEALING EDITION
"BUT GOD IS ABLE !!!"
: "For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the Lord". Jeremiah30:17 (KJV)
What Is Healing?
The Word of God presents healing as a fundamental part of God's character and a key aspect of Jesus' ministry. Throughout Scripture, it is described not just as physical recovery, but as a holistic restoration of the body, mind, and spirit.
Take, for example, the man born blind in John 9. The world saw a "problem" to be analyzed, asking whose sin caused his condition. But Jesus saw an opportunity for glory. He declared that the man’s struggle was a canvas for the works of God. By mixing dirt with His touch and commanding the man to wash, Jesus proved that healing is more than the removal of a symptom—it is the revelation of God’s power in our darkest places.
What Are The Qualifications To Recieve Healing? The primary "criteria" for receiving healing, as shown throughout Scripture, is not a rigid checklist but a heart alignment with God’s nature and Word. God's words are described as bringing life and healing to the "whole body" or "all their flesh".
While God is sovereign and can heal anyone at any time, the Bible highlights several spiritual conditions that often precede or accompany divine healing.
It starts withThe Foundation Pillars of Faith and Belief. Faith is the most frequently cited "requirement" for receiving from God. It is the act of taking God at His Word despite physical symptoms. Then There is This Active Belief by Believing that Jesus is both able and willing to heal. Here The Believer Operates From A Place of Trust in God.
For healing there must be an Inner Alignment of the spirit through Humility and Repentance.
Healing often involves the "whole person," including the soul and spirit.
Humility is admitting we are not in control and seeking God’s face (2 Chronicles 7:14).
Real Repentance that calls For turning away from known sin or "wicked ways" that may have opened a door to affliction.
Then there is The Confession Protocol
James 5:16 instructs believers to "confess your sins to one another... that you may be healed".
Now Sometimes healing requires a specific response to God's instruction.
First It is Obedience to do as He Says. From Exodu 15:26 addresses health to "diligently listening" to God’s voice and keeping His decrees. If The Holy Spirit impresses us to a 10 day Fast,Walk Two miles everyday or only Eat Vegetables only, We cant be more obedient to an earthly physician's directive than Directives From The Great Physician Who provided not only healing but provided a Balm of Gilead for the sickness of sin. We Have been given authority to Asking in Jesus' Name. Prayer is the primary vehicle for healing. The primary Scriptures instructing believers to ask in Jesus' name are found in the Gospel of John, specifically John 14:13-14 and John 16:23-24. These verses emphasize that asking in His name means praying with His authority, aiming to glorify the Father, and trusting in His advocacy.
And for every Believer is the Abiding in the Word. That means Keeping God’s Word as a permanent Prescription. "God's words are described as bringing life and healing to the "whole body" or "all their flesh".(Proverbs 4:20-22).
Now then while we have to deal with whatever situation we find ourself we have to be alert of The Adversary Devices.
The Enemy Comes To Steal our joy in the Lord,Kill Our Relationship with God through Christ, and Destroy our Confession of Faith. But God Is Able!!! When We Declare God’s Word by Faith, We are in the Fortress of Peace, Secured in The knowledge that God Fights For Us And our Position is active Silence, and Unmovable according to Exodus 14:14.
Because of 2 Timothy 1:12 KJV
"For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day." adds to our Confession of Faith in God.
To refute the "facts" of a diagnosis or the lies of hopelessness, We can use these But God Is Able declarations. They are designed to pivot our focus from the mountain to the Mountain-Mover.
Declarations of Power to Refute the Enemy
The Lie: "This condition is permanent and impossible to fix."
The Declaration: "The report says it’s impossible, But God Is Able to do immeasurably more than all I ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within me." (Based on Ephesians 3:20)
The Lie: "I am too weak to recover."
The Declaration: "My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is able to be the strength of my heart and my portion forever. His grace is sufficient, and His power is made perfect in my weakness." (Based on Psalm 73:26 & 2 Corinthians 12:9)
The Lie: "Medicine is my only hope, and it’s failing."
The Declaration: "The doctor has reached his limit, but God is able to heal all my diseases and redeem my life from the pit. He is the Lord who heals me." (Based on Psalm 103:3 & Exodus 15:26)
Lest We Forget The Antibiotic of Forgiveness Healing and forgiveness are often linked. James 5:16 instructs believers to "confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed". Similarly, holding onto bitterness or refusing to forgive others can be viewed as a spiritual hindrance. Forgive to be Forgiven Therapy consists Following The 70 times7 Dosage in
Obedience to God's Word In Matthew 18:20-22KJV Jesus was asked on the number of times to forgive. This is where the phrase "seventy times seven" (490)indicates that forgiveness is more about a lifestyle of grace rather than a formula.Forgiveness requires letting go of anger, resentment, and a tally of wrongs. Never let a grudge become more than our our Faith.
We Conclude Ministry Moment With This PrayerFather, I pray for every person under the sound of my voice. Whatever is trying to steal their strength or rob their peace, we command it to go. We take the Bread of Healing right now. Let Your life flow from the top of their heads to the soles of their feet. We declare it done, in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen!"
