I am making a public request from within the Church of Christ for assistance with the formation of a new congregation being formed in Sahiwal, Pakistan. I have been teaching a young lady there for about 2 1/2 years. There are about half a dozen new converts, all women who now have a male Church of Christ preacher to take up the work with them, brother Amir. A large enough house has become available to house Mehwish Samuel and her family as well as enough room for 50 to 60 people to begin gathering. The Landlord, a Muslim, is allowing them to hold Christian meetings to worship and study, a really great blessing. The rent alone is $100.00 per month, a real bargain in that town and I have paid the first months rent. They move in on the first of Oct. I need 10 people to pledge $10.00 per month for one year to cover the cost. In the mean time I will be helping them to learn how to begin giving so that by the end of the year the newly formed church can pay their own way. I have a "giving" page on my web site where you can make your donation by adding the phrase "Sahiwal." If you can give more I know that it will go to the Lord's work. This is my first "blog" page I have ever posted from my website. Once I learn how to archive it in a week or so I will be following up with my second, having to do with the topic of repentance.
