EVENING REFLECTION

What if the thing you keep asking God to restore…
is the very thing He is trying to teach you to release?

Sometimes we pray:

“God, fix it.”
“Bring it back.”
“Make it work.”
“Open that door again.”

But what if God is saying, “I closed it for a reason.”

Not every ending is the enemy.

Not every closed door is rejection.

Not everything that leaves your life is meant to be chased.

There are times when faith is not believing God will bring something back.

Sometimes faith is trusting Him enough to let it go.

Ecclesiastes 3:6 reminds us that there is “a time to keep, and a time to cast away.”

So tonight, ask yourself:
Am I praying for restoration…
or resisting release?

And an even deeper question:
Have I given God permission to answer differently than I hoped?

FAITH HAS WORK CLOTHES.

Faith is not only what we say in prayer.

Sometimes faith looks like getting up when you don’t feel like it.
Making the phone call.
Keeping your word.
Having the difficult conversation.
Showing up for your family.
Apologizing when you were wrong.
Finishing what you started.
Being disciplined when nobody is watching.

We often ask God to move, but sometimes His answer is an instruction:

Get up. Go. Call. Forgive. Finish. Try again.

James reminds us that faith without works is dead.

So as this new week begins, don’t only ask,
“God, what are You going to do?”

Ask:
“Lord, what are You asking ME to do?”

THINK BACK THURSDAY: LOOK AT YOU NOW.

There was a time when that situation would have taken you completely out.

One disappointing phone call.
One person walking away.
One unexpected bill.
One closed door.
One harsh word.
But look at you now.

Maybe the circumstances aren’t perfect. Maybe you’re still waiting on some things to change. But something in you has changed.

You pray before you panic.
You recover faster.
You don’t chase every explanation.
You’re learning when to speak—and when to let God handle it.
You’ve discovered that peace is sometimes more valuable than being understood.
We often look back and thank God for what He removed, restored, or provided.

But today, thank Him for what He developed in you.
The stronger faith.
The wiser decisions.
The healthier boundaries.
The courage to begin again.
You may not be where you want to be yet—but you are not who you used to be either.

Think back: What is something that once overwhelmed you that you handle differently now?

“He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion…” — Philippians 1:6

Lord, show me what I need to see in me.
Strengthen what reflects You.
Correct what doesn’t.
And give me the humility to grow.

ONE WORD WEDNESDAY: AVAILABLE.

Sometimes we spend so much time asking God,
What do You want me to do?

But maybe the first question is:

“Am I available when He calls?”

Available to encourage someone.
Available to forgive.
Available to serve.
Available to change direction.
Available to obey—even when it’s inconvenient.

God doesn’t always need the most qualified person in the room.

Sometimes He’s looking for the one who simply says,

“Here I am. Use me.”

Today, ask yourself:

Am I asking God for direction while still holding tightly to my own plans?

Lord, make my heart available to You. 🤍
"Here am I; send me.” — Isaiah 6:8

Good morning, Clear View family.

Before the day gets busy, take a moment and pray:
Lord, thank You for another day.
Order my steps, guard my heart, and quiet every anxious thought.
Give me wisdom for the decisions I have to make, strength for what I cannot control, and grace for whatever this day brings.

Help me not to carry yesterday into today.

Remind me that I do not have to have every answer before I move forward. I just need to trust the One who already knows the way.

Open the right doors. Close the ones that are not for me. Help me recognize Your hand even in the small things.

And whatever I face today, let my words, choices, and actions reflect You.

**I may not know what today holds, but I know Who holds me.

In Jesus’ name, Amen. 🙏🏽

Before this day ends, think about the goodness of God.

Not just the big miracles.
Not only the prayers that were answered exactly the way you hoped.
But the quiet goodness too.

The strength you had when you thought you had none left.
The door that closed and later made sense.
The protection you didn’t even know you needed.
The people God placed in your life at the right time.
The peace that came in the middle of uncertainty.
The fact that after everything you’ve faced, you are still here.

Sometimes we become so focused on what we are waiting on that we forget to look back at what God has already carried us through.

Tonight, don’t rush past His goodness.

Remember the seasons you thought would break you.
Remember the prayers you once cried that are now part of your testimony.
Remember the ways God provided, protected, redirected, comforted, and kept you.

And then ask yourself:

**When I look back over my life, where can I clearly see the goodness of God?**

Take a moment tonight and give Him praise for that.

“The Lord is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.” — Psalm 145:9
