The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him. Romans 8:16-17

Evidence of your calling is the fact of your trials, tribulations, and temptations. The devil is coming hard for those believers who are proclaiming and living the Word of God.

Rejoice like Paul said, because Jesus said his followers would suffer like he did for the eternal work of the Father. Don't fret, don't get mad at people who mistreat you, who call you everything but a child of God, because that's your high calling. God is smiling on you, declaring you worthy among His heavenly host.

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6

In this season of Christmas, we celebrate the birth of Jesus, the One who through His life and redemptive work on the Cross would save the world from our sins. The prophet Isaiah penned a beautiful description of our Savior.

Jesus not only rules over the governments of the world, but in believers He governs our hearts. We love because He first loved us. He is our King and He has all power in heaven and on earth. He upholds all things by the power of His word (Hebrews 1:3).

His name is Wonderful. ‘Oh, how I love the name of Jesus.’ You can call on Him anytime. He’s always near and will never leave us. His counsel is true and will never lead us wrong. Jesus is the way, and the truth, and the life (John 14:6).

In the beginning was the Word (Jesus), and the Word (Jesus) was with God, and the Word was God. All things were created by Him, through Him, and for Him. He is the almighty God.

He is the Everlasting Father. He has no beginning and no end. He is a self-sufficient, all sufficient God. Praise the Lord , the God of Israel, who lives from everlasting to everlasting! And all the people shouted "Amen!" and praised the Lord (1 Chronicles 16:36)

And He is the Prince of Peace. Our salvation through faith in Christ gives us peace with God the Father (Romans 5:1). Before conversion, we were enemies to God (Romans 5:10). In our trials and tribulations, Jesus is our peace. His power can calm our anxieties and strengthen us to overcome the pressures of the world.

The greatest gift the world has received was the birth of Jesus! Praise His glorious Name!

And He has said to me, ``My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness." Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me. II Corinthians 7:9

There is a saying…” Whatever don’t kill you, will make you strong.” The passage the apostle Paul wrote proves that God will give the strength to endure whatever situation of difficulty you are in. Because of great revelations God had showed to Paul, God did not want Paul to boost about it. So God allowed one of Satan’s messengers to torment him in the body (II Corinthians 7:7). Paul prayed for relief but God responded with “My grace is sufficient for you.”

Remember in a time of affliction, God has a purpose to accomplish at that time of your life. Either to restrain you from sin, test your faith, or maybe to show someone His faithfulness in time of trials and temptation. It might not sound inspiring but if we can encourage ourselves knowing that the power of Christ dwells in us for His sake. Our weaknesses and tribulations will make us strong.

Therefore I am well content with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties, for Christ's sake; for when I am weak, then I am strong. II Corinthians 7:10

Therefore if anyone is in Christ, this person is a new creation; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. II Corinthians 5:17

Being a believer in Christ means being in Christ. We are born-again, born in the Spirit of Christ and we are identified with Christ in His righteousness. Because of the person and redemptive work (sinless in life, perfect sacrifice for our sins, resurrection, and seated on the right of the Father) of Jesus, we have a new spiritual life. Our old life, dead in trespasses and sin have been awaken to the Light in Christ.
The redeemed sinner we use to be does not follow the course of this world (Ephesians 2:2). We have the grace to see and understand the things of God that once was hidden in our sin nature. The believer is still in the world physically but not of the world spiritually. Do not be conformed to the worlds’ point of view but be transformed by renewing your mind by putting on the mind of Christ (Romans 12:2; I Corinthians 2:16
Spend time in the Holy Scriptures for knowledge, understanding, and wisdom from above and the Holy Spirit will reveal divine things that you never knew. Your walk with God will bring strength, peace, and joy in whatever state you are in. Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path. Psalms 119:105

You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. II Timothy 2:3
Brothers and sisters in the household of faith, we will have hardships and trials in this life. For Christ's sake, we will face persecution and rejection as our Savior did. Our faith is being tested and tried every day in all kinds of situations and places (I Peter 1:7).

The Bible does not teach us that our lives will be easy nor will it be smooth. But we are in battle with an adversary, the devil, who seeks to devour the sheep by stealing our joy, killing our spirit, and destroying our mission. If one's faith in Christ is not being tested, they should examine themselves (II Corinthians 13:5).

The Church of God has always suffered attacks from those who oppose God and His righteousness. Jesus stated... "And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven has been treated violently, and violent men take it by force." When the disciples were thrown into jail for preaching Jesus, they rejoiced that they had been considered worthy to suffer shame for His name (Acts 5:41).

We, the followers of Christ, are not 'feel good' fans cheering about how good our lives are. Our joy is knowing that we were chosen to represent Christ on earth, to serve our King, and help build His kingdom. Count it all joy when your test comes, God considers you worthy. James 1:2-4

Be careful to what enters your ear gate and your eye gate. I'm not just talking about television, social media,.and such things that are in the world. But I'm referring to the heresy, false teaching in the Church of God. Study the Word for yourself (II Timothy 2:15; Acts 17:11)

Many are being misled into false doctrine that sound good to the ear but is dangerous to our walk with God. Preaching that hype you up and self-help motivational speeches. Every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive (Ephesians 4:14)

We must be diligent to recognize the schemes of the enemy, our adversary. He poses as an angel of light to deceive the sheep. Watch and Pray!

"Beware of the false prophets, teachers who come to you dressed as sheep appearing gentle and innocent, but inwardly are ravenous wolves."By their fruit you will recognize them that is, by their contrived doctrine and self-focus. Matthew 7:15-16

Works done without the Holy Spirit is not recognized by God. It's like trying to clean something with a dirty cloth. Self-righteous, wrong intentions are ineffective in the kingdom of God. It is tainted and gives no honor to God. These works will receive no glory or rewards.

Now if any man builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, each man's work will become evident; for the day will show it because it is to be revealed with fire, and the fire itself will test the quality of each man's work. If any man's work which he has built on it remains, he will receive a reward. If any man's work is burned up, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire. I Corinthians 3:12-15

When a believer is living in the power of God, people will not see them but they will see the power of God.

And my message and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, so that your faith would not rest on the wisdom of men, but on the power of God. I Corinthians 2:4-5

Though we must use words and demonstrate faith through conduct and character, it is only by the power and wisdom of God that manifest true change in a person's life. Enticing words of man's wisdom and persuasive language of men only tickle the flesh and please the ears. God changes the soul of man by the hearing of His Word.

1 I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.

2 My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.

3 He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.

4 Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.

5 The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand.

6 The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.

7 The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.

8 The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore. Psalms 121

How are you living? I ask that because we often ask people how you are doing and most times they say "I'm doing fine." And their present situation might not be pleasant or pleasing to them. Of course, we cannot ignore the facts. But if we are trusting God through His Son, Jesus Christ, Who is our help in any time of trouble, we are living abundantly no matter what. Our steadfast faith in Who loves us can be the answer to 'how you are living?'

Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation, or trouble, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? Romans 8:34

Jesus has washed all my sins away! God has forgiven me! Hallelujah!

This wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, natural, demonic. For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there is disorder and every evil thing. But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peace-loving, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial, free of hypocrisy.

The Godly wisdom that one is presented with, if rejected, the greater the consequences that one will have. If we reject the wisdom God has given us, the Bible, we risk a life of strife, confusion, and destruction. If we value His Word, we will reap the promises of blessings. The Word of God can and will deliver us from fear, jealousy, and God’s wrath. And cause us to live in peace, comfort, and confidence.
