OUR GOAL:

Please note that Our Goal is 100% Customer Satisfaction!

1. SB Bill 365 passed in 2014. It protects employers from liability in hiring a person with a criminal record.

2. Georgia employers who hire former criminal offenders are now given some protection against claims of negligent hiring and retention through the Fair Business Practices Act, which took effect on July 1, 2014.

3. Work Opportunity Tax Credits (WOTC) are federal tax credits
awarded to Georgia companies that hire individuals who have
consistently faced significant barriers to employment.

4. Georgia coordinates the WOTC program that provides employers
financial incentives when hiring workers from targeted groups of job seekers by reducing an employer’s federal income tax liability that ranges $1,200-$9,600.

5. Bonding-The bond is issued free of charge to the employer for a period of six months. If the worker demonstrates job honesty during the six months of Federal Bonding Program coverage, that worker can become BONDABLE FOR LIFE under commercial bonding made available to the employer for purchase from the Travelers Property Casualty Insurance company.

6. Employers participating in the re-entry program save states millions of dollars annually in the reduced costs of recidivism.

7. There are positive financial and public safety benefit.

8. Promotes the well-being of individuals, families, and communities by giving those with a criminal record a second chance to live productive and meaningful lives.

Inspirational Note About the Founder:

The founder of Brothers and Sisters United for Change, LLC, Netanya Pinkard, ​LIVED ​Matthew 25:36,40! As a struggling college student, she worked nights to put herself through school and yet she still took out time to regularly visit her mother and make sure that she ate well while incarcerated.

Netanya’s mentor, by the grace of Almighty God bought her car tires and gave her a job. At times, however, she barely had gas money but sacrificed the little bit that she had to brighten her mother’s day in her time of need. At the time of her mother’s release, her mom had a Ph.D. and after owning her own company for seven years, she couldn’t find a job.

After tremendous research and reaching out to every possible resource, the only doors that opened were driving jobs but with a car with high mileage and barely enough money for gasoline, they weren’t feasible. But God!!! The bible says that “Everything works together for the good of those that love the Lord and are called according to His purpose!” Romans 8:28. For Netanya and her family, the struggle is REAL!!! By the grace of God, her grandmother stepped in and helped her through school. Brothers and Sisters United for Change, LLC was birthed to ensure that you nor your family ever have to face the struggles that we faced alone.

By the grace of God, the Lord was with us on our journey every step of the way and He has equipped and empowered us to walk hand in hand with ​you​ to bless you, strengthen you, encourage and empower you on ​your​ journey in Christ every​ step of the way as God repositions you and launches you into your life’s purpose. A job is critical...but it is only the BEGINNING! “In this life, ye will have trials and tribulations but be of good cheer for I have overcome!” John 16:33 Because Christ has overcome the world, He has fully equipped each of us to overcome...​together!

MISSION: Brothers and Sisters United for Change is committed to supporting and enhancing the lives of all and encouraging growth, development, and rehabilitation in ​every​ aspect and area of the lives of all of those in need while providing food, shelter and clothing to all stakeholders who are at risk.
