Yesterday, we kicked off our dawah efforts in Guadalajara, Jalisco on game day.
The plaza was packed, and the Mexican fans were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and eager to meet us. Throughout the day, we engaged in meaningful conversations, distributed Islamic literature, and answered questions about Islam.
One of those conversations was between Imam Muhammad Idrissi and Andrea. What began as a simple discussion turned into a heartfelt conversation that lasted well over an hour. Andrea listened attentively, asked sincere questions, and reflected deeply on the message of Islam.
Alhamdulillah, by the end of their conversation, Andrea decided to embrace Islam and recited her Shahada.
The second Shahada of this trip. Allahu Akbar!
Moments like these remind us why we travel, why we stand for hours in the heat, and why we continue these conversations. Every interaction is an opportunity to share the beauty of Islam and invite others to learn about their Creator.
