From the Desk of Pastor Dexter and Charlene
God is calling you out of your tent.
The tent represents your comfort zone what is familiar, manageable, and safe. While tents provide shelter, they were never meant to be permanent dwelling places.
In Genesis 15:5, God led Abram outside and said, “Look toward heaven, and number the stars, if you are able to number them.”
In that moment, God expanded Abram’s vision beyond the limits of his tent and revealed a promise too vast to be contained by fear, circumstance, or human logic.
Earlier, in Genesis 12, God had already commanded Abram to leave his country, his family, and what he knew, calling him into a land and a future that required faith.
These moments reveal a powerful truth: God often calls us away from what is comfortable to show us what is possible. The tent symbolizes limitation; the stars symbolize promise.
You cannot fully see what God has prepared for you if you remain confined to where you are. Stepping out requires trust, obedience, and the courage to believe that God’s word is greater than your present reality.
God is inviting you to lift your eyes, enlarge your vision, and trust Him for more. What He has promised cannot be measured by what you see now.
There is more ahead—more purpose, more impact, more fulfillment—if you are willing to step out of the tent.
Inspiration
Your current position is not your final destination. When God calls you forward, He also provides what you need to walk into the promise. Faith begins where comfort ends.
Prayer
Father God, we thank You for being a God of promise and purpose. Give us the courage to step out of our comfort zones and trust You beyond what we can see. Open our eyes to the vision You have prepared for us and strengthen our faith to follow You in obedience.
Help us to believe that what You have spoken over our lives will surely come to pass. We choose faith over fear and purpose over comfort. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
