Faith - Love - Good Purposes

Welcome to a ‘back to BASICS’ church community—where sharing Jesus’s love and life-giving purposes is about heartfelt callings, not commerce, and where church means people following Jesus, not business, buildings, power hierarchies, or pretense.

We are a back to basics gathering where God's Word is the focus. It's not fancy, but the conversations are real, the Bible study is deep, the food is good, and the prayers are heart-felt. Join us this Sunday, August 20th at 5:30.

What are you giving up for Lent this year? Growing up, that wasn't really a thing in faith circles, but in my adult years as my circles have broadened, I hear it more frequently. It's a beautiful tradition to approach Easter with sacrifice in mind, remembering that Jesus sacrificed His very life to reconcile us to God our Father. But, if we are just giving up something for Lent, if our sacrifice is just a thing we do because of a date on the calendar, if it's just an empty ritual, then whatever it is we are sacrificing is empty and meaningless. I challenge myself and I challenge you in this Lenten season to consider what Jesus gave up for us. Let's have a broken and contrite heart before the Lord. And in our brokenness, let's celebrate our healing and wholeness in Jesus.
