Two weeks ago, we had the privilege of welcoming an incredible team of high school students from North Metro Church. In just one week, together we served with joyful hearts, bringing hope, laughter, and the love of Christ to children and families in Panajachel, Patzutzun, Chuitziyut, and Xecotoj. ❤️
🎨 In Panajachel, we refreshed the school sports court by repainting the goals, hoops, and lines, creating a brighter space for kids to play.
💻 In Patzutzun, we painted the brand new computer lab where, for the first time in the community’s history, many children will have the opportunity to learn computer skills.
🎶 Throughout the week, we led songs, games, Bible lessons, and shared meals, including hot dogs with hundreds of children, creating moments filled with joy and connection.
⛪ In Chuitziyut, we gathered for a special worship service where our student pastor preached in Spanish while the students led worship. One of the most memorable moments was the creative dramatization of David and Goliath, which brought the story to life and powerfully reminded everyone that God is greater than every giant we face.
🏡 To close the week, we had the joy of visiting two dear families connected to our ministry. Earlier this year, our men’s team had the privilege of serving both families through special building projects, and it was a blessing to return, spend time together, and witness firsthand how God continues to work in their lives.
We are incredibly grateful for these amazing students who chose to spend part of their summer serving others. Their willingness to love, encourage, and faithfully share God’s Word left a lasting impact, not only on the communities we serve, but also on all of us at Casa del Redentor. 🤍
We pray that every seed planted through every song, every game, every conversation, every project, every Bible story, and every act of love will continue to bear fruit for years to come. 🌱✝️
