Leave a word of congratulations for the Citizen Impact 2026-27 College Scholarship winner, Jayden! She hopes to work in ministry and mentor teenage girls, encouraging them to build their lives on God's Word and teaching them what a biblical woman looks like. It is our hope that the $2000 Citizen Impact scholarship will benefit Jayden in her academic and ministry pursuits.

"What do we do in Washington, DC?"
During our April trip to DC, we advocated for The Clergy Act. Earlier this year it passed the US House, and just this week passed the US Senate. Now it must be signed by President Trump.
If signed into law by the president, The Clergy Act will allow eligible clergy who had previously opted out of Social Security to re-enroll, giving them access to benefits, including Medicare, in their senior years.
Your support of our ministry allows us to travel to Washington to accomplish this important advocacy.

"What do we do in Washington, DC?" God has burdened us with the spiritual needs of those in the capitol community. Whenever we meet with members of congress, we make time to pray for each one. Would pray for us?

"What do we do in Washington, DC?" - Part 2

Because this recent trip was in conjunction with the annual American Association of Christian Schools National Legislative Conference, it included a banquet where Georgia Congressman Barry Loudermilk was honored for his service in DC.
Plus, we had a special opportunity to get a Congressional Briefing and heard from several Christian legislators.
At this Briefing, Rep. Bob Onder, introduced the Chloe Cole Act. This bill was named for Chloe Cole, who at age 12 was given chemicals to stop puberty. At age 15, she underwent a double mastectomy, and at age 16, began the process of "de-transitioning" to live in alignment with her biological reality. She is an outspoken advocate for children like her, who were harmed by doctors. If the Chloe Cole Act becomes law, it will create a federal "right of action" for individuals who have experienced sex-rejecting interventions to seek damages (i.e, sue the practitioners for medical malpractice).

We’ll be back tomorrow for part 3!

Citizen Impact Executive Director Paul Smith, and Associate Director Cory Lawrence, went to Washington, DC recently to meet with Georgia's Congressional delegation to discuss the Fair Treatment of Religious Organizations Act (H.R. 9722), the Chloe Cole Act (H.R. 7651), and the Educational Freedom Tax Credit. We appreciate the open dialog with Georgia's congressmen and their staff.

Last Saturday, Citizen Impact, alongside WallBuilders and Bethel Baptist Church, commemorated America’s 250th birthday with a patriotic celebration!

The evening was filled with patriotic music, an excellent children’s program, and a powerful message from historian David Barton on America’s Christian heritage and how it shaped our nation’s founding and history.

We are incredibly grateful to WallBuilders, Bethel Baptist Church, and our amazing Citizen Impact team for all the hard work that made this event possible. Thank you to all those who came out to celebrate with us!

Let’s continue celebrating 250 years of America and honoring the principles and heritage that helped shape our great nation.
