God Loves All.

There are no "exceptions" to God's love.

Not because of who you love.
Not because of how you identify.
Not because of where you've been.
Not because of the questions you carry.

God's love isn't something you have to earn by becoming who someone else thinks you should be. You are already loved.

Did you know?

60 years ago, the vote to form the Southeast Conference of the United Church of Christ was held in our former home on Ponce & Piedmont! This was the second effort to establish the conference, as the first failed a year earlier due to segregationist and racist attitudes within some of the white congregations.

With gratitude to members of First Congregational, the second vote prevailed, and the Southeast Conference was established as a racially integrated conference of the United Church of Christ.

The purple chairs are back in front of the sanctuary and will remain there through August. You are invited to write the names of loved ones on a chair. Markers provided.

On Aug. 31, the chairs will be placed on the town green for Overdose Awareness Day.

COMING SUNDAY: The Gospel According to Dolly Parton!

The gospel doesn’t just show up in the Bible. Sometimes it arrives in rhinestones, towering hair, singing about heartbreak, hope, and glittering grace.

This mini-series invites us to explore the gospel according to Dolly Parton! Featuring a few of her greatest hits, we'll explore Dolly's unique and unifying radical abundance and love. Come ready to sing, laugh, question, and worship!

🙏🏾 We pray for God’s love to work through our hearts, influencing us inwardly through healing and encouragement, so that outwardly we have the wholesomeness and courage to love all whom God loves.

🙏🏾 Creator of us all,

As bombs ravage lands afar and discrimination runs rampant close to home, we pray that you will make us instruments of your peace.

Strengthen us and inspire us to do our part in building a just world. We cannot do it on our own, but by your grace and with your love we are capable of so much goodness.

Bless all our efforts, great and small. Amen.

🙏🏾 The Inclusive Shema: 2026

Hear, O creation: The Holy One is One.

The breath that moves through galaxies also moves through every human heart. We are woven together in sacred diversity—many stories, many cultures, many identities, one beloved creation.

May our love of the Divine become justice for the oppressed, welcome for the stranger, dignity for every person, and healing for the earth. May we tear down walls built by fear and build bridges shaped by compassion.

The Holy One is One.
Love is holy.
Justice is sacred.
We belong to one another.
