Discipling Ministries International

Discipling Ministries International Discipling Ministries International [DMI], is an outreach ministry of the Progressive Primitive Baptists to Ukraine and other countries. DMI began in 1993.

With financial contributions from donors, we support pastors and other ministry workers in their evangelistic work. After the fall of the Old Soviet Union, a Ukrainian heard a shortwave radio broadcast of the Lighthouse Radio Bible Study program. He sought help in obtaining Bibles. A survey trip was soon taken to see how we might meet the needs of the Ukrainian church. Twenty-two years later, we a

re still actively involved in sharing the gospel and helping to support Ukrainian pastors. DMI is non-profit charity having obtained 501 3 (c) tax status with the IRS. Contributions to this ministry are tax deductible. Financial contributions can be sent to:

On behalf of the Board of Directors for Discipling Ministries International (DMI), we want to wish you a merry Christmas and happy New Year.

2025 has been a challenging and yet very rewarding year for our ministry to the church in the Ukraine. The challenge, our course, is the ongoing war with Russia with its sorrowful impact upon the Ukrainian people. Despite the horrors of Russian aggression, the church in the Ukraine continues to meet both the spiritual and physical needs of the people. The Ukrainian pastors we are supporting are doing a great work.

The church in Makariv will hopefully open their doors in the near future to house a medical clinic to help meet the medical needs of not only the civilians located there, but also the needs of soldiers. DMI is supporting this great work in the coming year. We also will be supporting four pastors. Here is a link to our web page and to the latest Newsletter that gives a report of the work that we are supporting now and in coming year. Please check it out. And if you a looking for a ministry to support with an end of year donation, please consider this one. Please share this Facebook post with your Facebook friends.

Thank you to all of our supporting churches and friends! This past October marked the 32 years of our ministry to the Ukraine. Without the support of many over these years, this ministry would not be possible. Again, Thank You and continue to pray for this war to end soon and for the freedom of the people there to remain.

There is a "Donation Now" button on our Web page if you would like to make a donation to this this ministry or you can send a donation to; DMI

As we come to the end of another year we want to express our thanks to everyone for your support this past year. Many of you have contacted us to let us know you are praying for DMI ministry and especially for the people of Ukraine in the midst of war.
The war continues. Our trip the first of November provided us with much needed current information concerning the Church.
DMI currently supports two pastors and their churches. These two men are going above and beyond what any of us can imagine. They are under the threat of being attacked with missiles or drones any time of day or night. They are traveling daily taking care of those under their leadership. Pastor Sergei travels to the front lines often as a Chaplin in order to minister to the soldiers and give them support and encouragement.
Our hearts go out to the eight children in "Happy Home' orphanage. All of these children have severe emotional and physical problems. Thank you Oksanna and team for your constant care for and LOVE to these children.
Our budget for next year is larger than ever before due to the great need in Ukraine due to the war. If you would like to help us financially you may do so by going to our web page and contact us under "Contributions". Thank you so much. Our web page is: Discipling Ministries International.org

Have a Merry Christmas and God bless you all

For 30 years God has blessed me to lead mission teams to Ukraine. I am thankful for God's leadership in each of the trips we have taken. Each team has been on task and ready for ministry. Since 1993 the Lord has opened the door for different types of ministry. We have held pastor conferences meeting with up to 200 pastors. Our subjects have been from a study of the 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith to pastoral growth and ministry issues.
We began a medical ministry in 1997 and have met in regions all over Ukraine. Local Churches and doctors have worked with us to enable our doctors to see people who had never been to a doctor in 70 plus years.
We moved our ministry from Donetsk Region to the Kiev Region in 2012. In 2014 Russia invaded the Donetsk Region and took it over. God had gotten our local leaders out before that war. Then last year Russia attacked again and tried to capture the entire country. God has aided the Ukrainian people through all of this.
Last year we made two mission trips to Easter Ukraine and were even able to go to Kharkiv in the west. Our teams last year saw such devastation in a country that is beautiful. We heard from refugees who had to flee for their lives. We also were able to give aid to churches helping these refugees.
Today, another team is leaving for Ukraine. Pastor Kurt Bacon, Dean Robbins, and I are headed back for a short visit. I feel like Paul in Acts_15:36 Then after some days Paul said to Barnabas, "Let us now go back and visit our brethren in every city where we have preached the word of the Lord and see how they are doing."
The people of Ukraine need our support and our presence to show them we care for them.
Please pray for each of us s we travel this afternoon. Pray that the Lord will get us across the border from Poland to Ukraine and then on to Kiev. Pray for God to use us to "strengthen the brethren".
We are totally dependent on the Lord as we travel. There are always unknowns when you travel, especially in a war-torn country.
Thank you for your prayers. We will keep you posted as we travel.
Blessings on each of you.

Pray for all of our Ukrainian friends. Our last report was yesterday afternoon. Our director in Kiev area is well. All of his family are safe. Pray for those in Kharkov. The church has lost 3 brothers from the fighting there.

Friends, As you know I have been involved in ministry in Ukraine for 28 years. Those of us who are involved have many friends, some very close friends, there. In 2014 the invasion by Russian military resulted in the loss of the regions we have ministered in most of our 28 years. Now Russia is building up forces for another attack. This time Purin's plan is to take over Ukraine completely. He denies it, but it is fact.
Please join me and the DMI team in praying for peace. Let us pray for the safety of the Ukrainian people. Pray for the pastors and churches who will most likely have to go underground once again if invasion takes place.
Pray for those brothers and sisters who are serving the Lord right on the border with Russia. They will be hit first.
Above all, PRAY FOR PUTIN'S CONVERSION. If God could convert the Apostle Paul, He can convert this sinner as well. That would certainly be a great miracle, and one that is much needed.
