DECEMBER 25, Empire, Revelation, and Christ:
Reclaiming the True Meaning of Christmas
By Pastor Dr. Adewale M. Adeniran
Author & Originator.

INTRODUCTION:
The celebration of Christmas has, in recent times, become a subject of intense debate within the Christian community.
While some believers joyfully proclaim Christ through the season, others condemn December 25 as irredeemably pagan, claiming divine revelations that associate the date with idolatry and eternal punishment.

This article seeks to respond biblically, historically, and theologically—affirming that Christ is Lord of time, revelation must submit to Scripture, and the Church’s task is not to abandon history but to redeem it for God’s glory.

God Owns Time and the Days of Creation
According to Genesis 1, God created the heavens, the earth, the sun, the moon, and all seven days.
He blessed time and declared it good. Time does not belong to idols worshipers; idols worshipers misuse what God has already created.
That some ancient cultures worshiped the sun does not mean the sun was evil. Scripture is clear:
“All things were created by Him and for Him.” (Colossians 1:16)

If pagans worshiped the sun, the problem was not the day—but misplaced worship.
Christianity Before Empire: Nero and Persecution
Before Christianity ever gained imperial recognition, it was a persecuted faith. Under Emperor Nero
Christians were burned alive, crucified, and used as human torches.
The early Church had no political power to redesign pagan festivals.
Therefore, the claim that early Christians compromised with paganism to invent Christmas ignores history.
A persecuted Church does not negotiate power—It Survived by Conviction.

Constantine’s Vision: The Cross Above the Sun:
Emperor Constantine, raised in pagan Rome, encountered a turning point before the Battle of the Milvian Bridge (AD 312). Historical Christian sources record that he saw a cross of light placed above the sun, accompanied by the message:
“In This Sign, You Shall Conquer.”
This vision is critical.
The cross was not beside the sun, nor blended with it—but placed above it. The message was unmistakable:
Christ Reigns Over Creation.
Following this vision, Constantine adopted the cross—the earliest and central symbol of Christianity—As The Sign Of Victory.
This did not elevate sun worship;
It Subjugated It.
Why December 25 Was Reclaimed
December 25, once associated with pagan solar festivals, was Deliberately Reclaimed By The Church To Proclaim The Lord Jesus Christ As THE TRUE LIGHT OF THE WORLD
(John 8:12).
The Church did not surrender to paganism; It Declared Christ’s Dominion Over Time.

The question must be asked plainly:
Would Christians rather continue honoring the sun—or proclaim Christ on that day?
Choosing Christ over the sun is not compromise—It Is Conquest.

Revelation, Logos, and the Error of Fear-Based Claims:
Some claim personal revelations asserting that Christ rejected December 25, that believers who celebrated Christmas are already in hell fire, and that anyone who celebrates Christmas is condemned.
It must be clearly stated:
Revelation is personal, but doctrine is communal—and all revelation must be tested by the Logos (God’s Word).
According to Revelation 20, the lake of fire has not yet been opened.
No human soul has been cast into it yet.
Any Revelation Contradicting Scripture Must Be Rejected, Regardless Of Sincerity.
Fear-based theology does not glorify Christ; Truth Does.
Reforming Celebration, Not Abandoning Christ
The real problem is not December 25.
The real problem is how Christmas is celebrated.
Materialism, immorality, and Christless festivities must be abolished.
But the solution is not retreat—It Is Reformation.

Christmas should be reclaimed for:
Evangelism
Teaching Christ
Charity and compassion
Soul-Saving.

Conclusion:
December 25 is not owned by idols worshipers.
December 25th is The CONCEPTION DAY Of The Lord Jesus Christ Not The Birthday.

Luke Chapter 1 shows that John The Baptist pregnancy was 6 Months on 25th December and that was The CONCEPTION DAY Of The Lord Jesus Christ.
The cross stands above the sun.
Christ reigns over time.
The Church must stop attacking the calendar and Continue Saving souls for the Kingdom of God.

Merry Christmas (CONCEPTION DAY).
The kind of person that God is looking for.: You wouldn’t give your child a task he couldn’t complete, and God doesn’t assign to you goals you can’t achieve.
His goals for you are possible, certain, and achievable.
When ever God’s will for us appears impossible, let’s say with Mary, “Behold, the bond-slave of the Lord; be it done to me according to your word”
(Luke 1:38). Imagine the overwhelming assignment that confronted Mary. She had to bear a child without the presence of a man.
She was to raise the child who would save the world.
This would alter the entire course of history and change the eternal destiny of believers.
The fact that you are celebrating Christmas today is proof that Mary’s child, Jesus, was indeed the world-changing Son of God.
The angel's task was staggering, yet Mary dedicated herself to fulfilling God's will. God is still looking for a person who will dare to believe that nothing is impossible with Him.
Prayerfully read Isaiah 7:14.

Glory Hallelujah onto The Lord Jesus Christ for His LOVE and Care for all of us IJMN Amen and Amen!!!!!!!!!

JESUS IS THE PRINCE OF PEACE, AND YOU WILL ENJOY HIS PEACE:
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” Philippians ‭4‬:‭8‬ . Decide today to quit keeping score of all the offenses that come your way. Think instead on things that are pure, lovely, and of good report. Then you’ll enjoy His peace. Prayerfully read Phi. 4:6-7.

GOD IS FAITHFUL.
Paul was asking the question,
“If some of the Jews did not believe God’s Word, does that make God’s Word of no effect?”
The answer to this question is a resounding No (Romans 3:4). However, Mark 7:13 says we make the Word of God of none effect through our traditions.
What’s the harmony between these two verses? People can make God’s Word of no effect in their personal lives. Hebrews 4:2 says God’s Word will not profit people unless they mix it with faith.
So the Word will not profit anyone who doesn’t believe it, but God’s Word itself doesn’t lose any power.
That is what Apostle Paul was stating here. The unbelief of the Jewish nation as a whole did not void the promises of God concerning salvation through a savior. The promises of salvation were of no effect to the individuals who rejected Jesus, but to those who will put their faith in Jesus as Messiah, the Word of God still has its power to save.

GOD IS FAITHFUL: “…let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written,
That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged". Romans 3:4:
This phrase “let God be true, but every man a liar” is given in response to the question of Romans 3:3.
Apostle Paul was stating that God and His promises are always true even if people don’t believe Him. However, other applications of this truth can benefit us greatly. When anyone or anything contradicts a promise made to us in God’s Word, we need to reckon God to be true and that person or thing to be lying. We need to believe that what God’s Word says about our prosperity is true, instead of what our checkbooks say.
We need to believe that we were healed by His stripes, instead of believing what the x-rays show.
In every aspect of our lives, we need to believe God’s Word above what we see or hear. Prayerfully read (2 Corinthians 8:9, 3 John 2; Isaiah 53:5).

BIBLE STUDY TIME:

✨REAL SPIRITUAL GROWTH✨

Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ (Ephesians 4:13).

Every one of us was born into this world by someone, isn’t that right?
You came in as a baby, but from the moment you were born, you were a complete human being.
However, you had to grow to become an adult.
You didn’t grow to become “more human” but to become mature.
And as you matured, you gained wisdom, understanding, and the ability to do the things that human beings do, better than when they're children.

It’s the same thing spiritually. When you were Born By The Spirit, you were born with the nature of God. You didn’t become “more like God” over time; you were born in His image and in His likeness; you were born to look like Him and to function like Him from the very moment of your spiritual birth.
You were born of the Word of God and by the Spirit of God, possessing His divine nature from day one. But then you must grow to spiritual maturity.

Spiritual growth enables you to manifest the fullness of the God-life in you.
The more spiritually mature you are, the more effectively you can fulfil God’s plan for your life and operate in His power.
This is why, at times, some Christians don’t see the results they desire despite their efforts; certain spiritual responsibilities and manifestations require growth to be sustained.

Some things may happen randomly, but they may not last because they require your spiritual maturity to make them permanent. It’s the reason we’re admonished to “…grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ...”
(2 Peter 3:18).
Ephesians 4:15 instructs us to “…grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ.”

As you feed on the Word and mature spiritually, you’ll walk in the fullness of God’s purpose for your life and produce lasting results in The Kingdom. So, grow in the Word and the knowledge of God and be diligent in prayer and fellowship with The Holy Spirit (The Wisdom Of God).
1 Peter 2:2 says, “As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of The Word that ye may grow thereby.”

To grow spiritually and mature in the Word, you must not only Study it but also Act on it: “But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves”(James 1:22). It’s The Word that you do that remains in you. Simply memorizing Scriptures will not lead to Maturity.
Real growth comes from doing The Word Living It Out In Your Daily Life.

PRAYER / CONFESSION
Dear Father, thank you for imparting your divine nature to me at the New Birth. I commit to growing in the knowledge Of Your Word and walking in The Spirit every day. I walk in the full blessing of the Gospel, fulfilling your purpose for my life, as I grow in Christ, in and by the Word, consistent in fellowshipping with The Holy Spirit, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Hebrews 5:12-14
For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which [be] the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.
13 For every one that useth milk [is] unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.
14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, [even] those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

Ephesians 4:11-16
And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
14 That we [henceforth] be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, [and] cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; 15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, [even] Christ:
16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

Looking Onto Jesus Who Is The Beginner And Finisher Of Our Faith:

Focus your attention on the right things rather than on yourself. Hebrews. 4:14 Seeing then that we have A Great High Priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus The Son Of God, let us hold fast our profession [confession].
I want you to notice this: “Seeing then that we have a great high priest. . . .” Or, if you like, “This is the reason we must hold fast to our confession because we have such a great high priest.” In looking up the Greek word for “confession,” I found out that it says, “Let us hold fast to saying the same things.” Jesus is up there representing us at the throne of God, and He is saying, “I took their place. I died for them as their Substitute.” He didn’t die for Himself.
He didn’t need to redeem Himself—He wasn’t lost.
He died for us.
He became my Substitute.
He took my sins. He bore my sickness.
He carried my diseases.
He died for me. He arose from the dead for me.
He ascended on high for me, and He is up there right now saying, “I did that for him.”
And we are to hold fast to saying the same thing down here. That is what puts the devil on the run.
Focus your attention on the right things rather than on yourself. Prayerfully read Heb.4:2.

BE MINDFUL OF YOUR ATTITUDE: Philippians 2:8 Says “and being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.” The supreme example of God’s love expressed in humility is our Lord Jesus Christ. He was King of kings and Lord of lords, yet He regularly associated with the lowest of the lowest. It was God’s love that compelled Him to lay down His life for us, and if we have His kind of love, we can do the same for others. Today, be mindful of your attitudes toward people. Do you think you are better than some and not as good as others, or do you love everyone with the love Jesus has for you?
Read Philippians 2:1-11.

YOU HAVE GOD INSIDE!
Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone Loves Me, he will keep My Word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him”
(John 14:23).
The reality of the Father and the Son making their home in us is staggering.
Is this not an advantage in life?

Now we can understand that the Trinity of God actually lives within The Believer.
If you have the Spirit Of God WITHIN, you are never at a disadvantage in life.
You are alive from the dead and new within (You Have Passed From Death To Life).
Prayerfully read
1st Cor. 6:17.

BIBLE STUDY TIME:

✨THE LAW OF THE SPIRIT OF LIFE ( IN THE ELECT, THE JUST, THE CHOSEN )✨

For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death (Romans 8:2).

In 1 John 3:4, the Apostle John writes, "Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law." But then, Paul in 1 Timothy 1:9 tells us, "Knowing this that the law is not made for a righteous man;” and we are the righteous. It then gives rise to the question, “As Christians, are we under any law at all?”

Yes, we are, but it’s a different kind of law. It’s not the law of Moses. It’s not the law of sin and death. It’s the law of the Spirit of life. That’s what the Apostle James called the perfect law of liberty in James 1:25: “But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.”

That phrase “perfect law of liberty” is an interesting play of words. Law typically implies restriction, yet here it produces liberty. This law works inside us to cancel the restrictions or inhibitions from Satan. For example, when sickness attacks the body, it’s a corruption or an inhibition of the person’s health. But thanks be unto God, the Bible says the Lord Jesus Christ abolished death and brought life and immortality to light” (2 Timothy 1:10). Hallelujah!

Being born by The Spirit, you have eternal life, and eternal life doesn’t require healing. Therefore, it doesn’t matter what attacks your body; if you’d stir up the life of God in your spirit, your whole body will be vitalized. The Bible says, “If the Spirit of Him that raised up Christ from the dead lives in you, He’ll vitalize your body” (Romans 8:11).

The Holy Spirit in you is life-generating. Whereas everything in the natural world degenerates, life works in you and in everything that’s connected to you because you’re in the realm of life. You’ve passed from death to life (John 5:24). Hallelujah!

PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for the perfect law of liberty by which I live and function. I walk in the liberty of the Spirit, free from every limitation and empowered to execute your will. I declare that your purpose is fulfilled in and through me, and I bring forth your righteousness in all I do, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Galatians 5:1 KJV

John 5:24 KJV

COUNSELLING TIME:

JUDAH MEANS PRAISE: And the LORD said, Judah (praise) shall go up: behold, I have delivered the land into his hand. Judges 1:2. How can we keep focused when we’re under pressure? When the bills are piling up, it’s difficult to just close the checkbook and say, “I refuse to think on this.” When we have pain in our bodies, it’s hard to ignore it. When we see relationships falling apart, how do we keep from dwelling on those things? I admit that it’s not straightforward to control our minds, but one of the most important things we can do to concentrate on the answer instead of the problem is to Praise The Lord God. Prayerfully read Psalm 103:1-3.

Praise is one of the most powerful weapons God has given us. When we are praising God, we have to get into what He is doing. Claiming the promises God has given and praising Him for them takes our attention off of the negative and immerses us in faith, love, and joy. Prayerfully read Psalm 34:1-4.

Praise Is God’s Will for Us. Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory, honor, and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure, they are and were created. Revelation 4:11. Jesus prayed, “Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven” (Matt. 6:10). In heaven, there is constant praise. That is God’s will for us. God created us to be full of praise, full of joy, and full of thanksgiving. We are made to be worshipers of God. That is not just for a few people but for every Born-By-The-Spirit person. Prayerfully read Psa. 100:1-5.

Praise is a choice, but the benefit is Victory. Deuteronomy 30:19 says, “I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live.”
When God created us, He gave us the ability to choose. Just as we have the ability to choose eternal life or death, we have the ability to choose to praise God in all situations. God gave us the choice. He doesn’t make the choice for us, and Satan cannot force us into any decision. It’s our choice. Prayerfully read Acts 16:25-26.

GOD'S ORIGINAL PURPOSE: Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
Revelation 4:11
This scripture is what the twenty-four elders around the throne in heaven cry out to God.
This shows that God’s original purpose for creation is for His pleasure.
That purpose has not changed. He created us to give Him pleasure, which refers to praise and worship. If this is how it is in heaven, then this is how God intends it to be on earth. Jesus prayed, “Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven” (Matt. 6:10). In heaven, there is constant praise. That is God’s will for us. God created us to be full of praise, full of joy, and full of thanksgiving. We are created to be worshipers of God. That is not just for a few people but for every Born-By-The-Spirit person. Prayerfully read Psa. 50:3.
