Today we're asking whether the life behind your words matches the words themselves — and continuing our robust conversation.

No parking lot. No one smothering you at the door. Just people wrestling honestly with the Word and the real world.

We'll be looking at what Aquinas said about Christ's manner of life — why he ate with sinners instead of retreating to a monastery, and what that means for us. Bonhoeffer on the tension between formation and engagement. Micah 6 on what God actually requires. And one question that is harder than it sounds:

Are we giving life out — or taking it from others?

What a week in Clayton County.

Melody's counts were stable — no transfusion needed. A storm knocked out our power, fried the internet line, and took down two hives. One was a total loss. Our home was spared. A neighbor showed up for us in ways we won't forget.

And this community lost another child. A nonverbal baby, missing Saturday night in Riverdale. Found. Gone. The second nonverbal child lost here in recently.

This is why knowing your neighbor matters. Not as a program. As a practice.

We gather Sundays at 2:30pm ET — no parking lot, no dress code, just people talking honestly about life and faith. Think out loud with us!

We had a great time catching up and sharing some pretty opposing views before coming together for the Word. We missed you Sunday, but you can still catch up on the Word, link in the comments!

That's kind of our thing — we love our gatherings, especially the part where you can freely speak your mind, learn from someone else's perspective, and actually push back.

How many sermons have you sat through where you could stop and say — wait, I have a question?

Sunday we asked an honest question: which empire are you actually serving?

Sometimes being a good Christian meant being a bad Roman. Before you accuse anyone of being unpatriotic — ask yourself which kingdom comes first.

Praying for a safe and peaceful year. One filled with real solutions, real learning, and the kind of support that shapes who you become long after the bell rings.

We are so grateful for your generosity supporting the Andrews Chapel UMC United Women in Faith Hygiene Drive. Today we handed off your donations — sorted, organized, and ready for the students who need them. This is the fifth phase of this multi-year program.

Andrews Chapel leads. We showed up. You made it possible.

Help is pray for the students, families, and staff at for MD. Roberts Middle School for the Arts and Suder Elementary as students head back this fall.
