FAITHFUL FRIDAY

A NEW HEART, A NEW WALK

Ezekiel 36:25–27

PRAYER

Father, thank You for bringing me through this season.

Thank You for awakening me.

Thank You for searching me.

Thank You for calling me back.

Thank You for Your mercy.

Thank You for Your forgiveness.

Thank You for making a way for reconciliation.

Create in me a clean heart.

Renew my spirit.

Teach me to walk differently.

Let what You have done within me become visible through the way I live.

May I not return to the same places You delivered me from.

May I not continue carrying what You asked me to release.

May I walk forward with humility, gratitude, obedience, and faith.

And above all, may my life point back to You.

In Jesus' name,

Amen.

DECLARATION

I am not going back to who I was.

I have been awakened.

I have examined my heart.

I have heard the call.

I have returned.

I have surrendered.

I will walk forward.

God is making me new.

I will walk in His mercy.

I will walk in His truth.

I will walk in His presence.

And my life will testify of His faithfulness.**

CLEANSED. RESTORED. RECONCILED. READY TO WALK FORWARD.

MIDWEEK CHECK-IN

HAVE I RELEASED IT?

We've spent this season examining, awakening, returning, and reflecting on God's mercy.

Now ask:

What am I still carrying?

God may have forgiven you, but are you still punishing yourself?

God may be calling you to release resentment, but are you still holding it?

God may have opened a door forward, but are you still looking backward?

There comes a moment when surrender has to become real.

Release the bitterness.

Release the shame.

Release the regret.

Release the need to control everything.

Release what God has asked you to place in His hands.

You don't have to carry what God has invited you to surrender.

Receive His mercy.

And then walk forward.

GOD MADE A WAY

Isaiah 53:4–6
John 1:29
Hebrews 9:11–14

Throughout Scripture, we see the seriousness of sin and the mercy of God.

We see sacrifice.

We see blood.

We see cleansing.

We see the need for reconciliation.

And then we come to Jesus.

John points to Him and declares:

“Behold the Lamb of God…”

The story doesn't begin in the New Testament.

The Old Testament has been preparing us to understand the significance of sacrifice and atonement.

Jesus becomes central to that story.

Hebrews tells us that Christ entered once for all, not with the blood of animals, but with His own blood, securing eternal redemption.

This is why our response should never be arrogance.

It should be gratitude.

Humility.

Worship.

Repentance.

Faith.

We needed a way back to God, and God provided the way.

So don't take grace lightly.

Don't treat forgiveness casually.

And don't live as though you have to earn what God has graciously provided.

Receive His mercy.

Walk in obedience.

And let gratitude change the way you live.

God made a way.

FAITHFUL FRIDAY

CREATE IN ME A CLEAN HEART

PRAYER

Father, create in me a clean heart.

Renew a right spirit within me.

Remove what does not belong.

Heal what has been wounded.

Restore what has been broken.

Teach me to forgive.

Teach me to surrender.

Teach me to obey.

Teach me to walk with You again.

I don't want to merely appear changed.

I want to be changed from the inside out.

Turn my heart toward You.

In Jesus' name,

Amen.

DECLARATION

God is creating in me a clean heart.

My past does not have the final word.

My failures do not have the final word.

My wounds do not have the final word.

I am returning to God.

I am being renewed.

I am being restored.

I will walk forward with Him.

CREATE IN ME A CLEAN HEART.

09/17/2026

REFLECTION

WHAT AM I CARRYING?

Psalm 51:10

“Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.”

Today, ask yourself:

What am I carrying that God is asking me to release?

Unforgiveness?

Resentment?

Fear?

Regret?

Shame?

Pride?

An old identity?

A relationship?

A wound?

A habit?

Sometimes we ask God for a new beginning while holding tightly to what belongs in the old one.

Today, surrender.

You don't have to pretend it doesn't hurt.

You don't have to pretend it never happened.

You simply have to decide:

“I will not allow this to keep me from God.”

Give it to Him.

What are you ready to release?

09/16/2026

MIDWEEK CHECK-IN

IS MY HEART TURNING?

We're halfway through this week.

Let's ask an honest question:

Is my heart turning toward God?

Not:

“Does my life look perfect?”

Not:

“Have I fixed everything?”

But:

“Am I turning?”

Am I becoming more willing to forgive?

More willing to obey?

More willing to listen?

More willing to surrender?

More willing to trust?

Those small movements matter.

Sometimes returning to God happens one decision at a time.

Keep turning.

One prayer.

One surrender.

One act of obedience.

One step at a time.

REPENTANCE IS A RETURN

Isaiah 55:6–7

Repentance is often presented as something frightening.

But Scripture gives us another picture.

Return.

Come back.

Turn around.

Change direction.

Isaiah says:

“Let the wicked forsake his way…”

There is an action involved.

Repentance isn't simply feeling bad.

It's allowing God to change our direction.

If I am walking away from God, repentance turns me back toward Him.

If bitterness has taken root, repentance says:

“Lord, teach me to forgive.”

If pride has taken over, repentance says:

“Lord, humble my heart.”

If fear is controlling me:

“Lord, teach me to trust You.”

If I've been living according to my own way:

“Lord, teach me Your way.”

Repentance doesn't mean we become perfect overnight.

It means we become willing to let God change our direction.

Turn from.
Turn toward.

That is the heart of returning.

Lord, give me a heart that is willing to turn whenever You call me back.

09/15/2026

DEVOTIONAL

RETURN TO ME

Joel 2:12–13

After the awakening comes the response.

God doesn't simply call us to recognize where we are.

He calls us to return.

“Turn ye even to me with all your heart…”

Those words reveal something important:

God is interested in the heart, not merely outward appearance.

We can say the right words while our hearts remain far away.

We can look spiritual while carrying bitterness.

We can talk about forgiveness while refusing to release someone.

We can speak about faith while allowing fear to govern our decisions.

But God sees beyond appearances.

He sees the heart.

This is why repentance isn't simply saying, “I'm sorry.”

Repentance means turning.

Turning away from what is separating us from God.

And turning toward God.

Return.

Return to prayer.

Return to truth.

Return to obedience.

Return to forgiveness.

Return to worship.

Return to the presence of God.

And if you've wandered, don't believe the lie that you are too far away to come home.

The invitation is still:

Return to Me.

FAITHFUL FRIDAY

THE CALL TO RETURN

Joel 2:12–13

PRAYER

Father, today we remember Your call.

Awaken our hearts.

Turn our attention back toward You.

Where we have become distracted, awaken us.

Where we have become cold, revive us.

Where we have wandered, lead us home.

Where we have forgotten, help us remember.

Give us hearts that respond when You call.

Let this be a season of returning.

Not simply with our words, but with our hearts, our minds, and our lives.

In Jesus' name,

Amen.

DECLARATION

I hear the call of God.
I will not ignore it.
I will return to Him with my whole heart.
I am awake.
I am listening.
I am ready to respond.

HEAR THE CALL. RETURN TO GOD.

09/09/2026

MIDWEEK CHECK-IN

CAN YOU HEAR THE CALL?

This week we've been talking about awakening.

So let's check our hearts.

What has God been bringing back to your attention?

What Scripture keeps coming to mind?

What area of your life keeps coming into your prayers?

What have you been feeling prompted to surrender?

Don't dismiss every repeated reminder.

Sometimes God is teaching us to pay attention.

Maybe the question isn't, “Is God speaking?”

Maybe the question is:

“Am I listening?”

Today, stop for a moment.

Be still.

Listen.

And if God is calling you closer—

come.
