Jesus' messages: (1) to the disciples: he sent them to the lost sheep of the house of Israel (Matt. 10:5-6, 23b; 15:24; Acts 2:36); to the Jewish nation: no sign shall be given you but the sign of the Prophet Jonah in AD 30 - 3 days and 3 nights in the belly of the fish. Jonah had not given the Ninevites an option, he only told them they would be destroyed in 40 days. But before that, they repented. Jesus, using a-day-for-a-year principle God through Christ was giving the Jews 40 years to think over the message of Christ from that point on. In AD 66, the Church had the wisdom to see that the time had come for the nation's destruction, and it was time to leave and fled (less than 4 years/about three and a half years?) before Jerusalem was taken by the Romans, AD 70!
Ephesus Era - Apostolic Period - The Church starts on the day of Pentecost, 31 A.D. After Jerusalem, the Church migrates, starting with Judea and Samaria (Acts 8:1). Eusebius and Socrates Scholasticus said the apostles divided the inhabited world into zones and by lot sorted themselves to travel to certain nations (McBirnie, 43; Bible Research, serial 52d).
