31 years today, when I ran out of the house, late to a party, I didn’t realize it was the last time I would ever hear your voice. Somehow, I think you knew. You called for me from the bathroom where you stood shaving and said “aren’t you going to give your daddy a hug goodbye?” So I did and oh how I wish I had of hugged you longer. January is so heavy for me. I feel it in my bones as soon as the new year starts. I mourn you over and over every year. I love you daddy and I hope I have made you proud.
