“The Unshakable Gift of Peace"
"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid."— John 14:27
In this world we're surrounded by anxiety, chaotic circumstances, and fleeting moments of calm. Jesus offers a profound alternative: His peace. This is not the fragile, conditional peace negotiated for the Straight of Hormuz by warring powers nor does it depend on wealth, comfort, or the absence of problems. Instead, Jesus offers His supernatural, internal tranquility. It is a gift purchased by His death on the cross and given freely to those who will trust Him as their Savior. Note that He refers to "my peace" which He promises to give and leaves it for us to receive—the same calm trust he exhibited while facing the cross. Jesus an enduring inner serenity that anchors your soul, regardless of the storms you may face.
When you feel overwhelmed, fearful, or hopeless, remember this promise. You and I are not meant to carry the weight of the world because Jesus has already done so in His death, burial and resurrection. By turning to Him in faith, you can experience a deep, lasting quietness that passes all human understanding, guarding your heart and mind. Do not let your heart be troubled. Receive His gift of peace today—the unshakable peace of Christ.
