Sermon Scripture Matthew 7:13-27

"Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of My Father in heaven." Matthew 7:21
"The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock." Matthew 7:25
"Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom." James 3:15

Galatians 5:19-25
19 The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery;
20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions
21 and envy; drunkenness, or**es, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.

Sermon Scripture Psalm 34

Psalm 34:1
I will extol the Lord at all times; his praise will always be on my lips.
Psalm 34:12-14
Whoever of you loves life and desires to see many good days, keep your tongue from evil and your lips from telling lies. Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.
Psalm 34:18
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

God has not promised what you want, but gives you what you need.
A faithful pastor of the Lord is called to preach the uncompromised Word of God, prioritizing biblical truth over popular cultural beliefs. This means standing firm in Scripture, even when its message is difficult, unpopular, or counter-cultural.

Psalm 8
1 Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!
You have set your glory in the heavens.
2 Through the praise of children and infants you have established a stronghold against your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger.
3 When I consider your heavens,
the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars,
which you have set in place,
4 what is mankind that you are mindful of them,
human beings that you care for them?[c]
5 You have made them[d] a little lower than the angels[e]
and crowned them with glory and honor.
6 You made them rulers over the works of your hands;
you put everything under their[g] feet:
7 all flocks and herds,
and the animals of the wild,
8 the birds in the sky,
and the fish in the sea,
all that swim the paths of the seas.

9 Lord, our Lord,
how majestic is your name in all the earth!

God is so good, all the time.

May 10, 2026 Happy Mother's Day
Job 2:1-12

In the land of Uz there lived a man whose name was Job. This man was blameless and upright; he feared God and shunned evil. Job 1:1

Then the Lord spoke to Job out of the storm. He said: “Who is this that obscures my plans with words without knowledge? Brace yourself like a man; I will question you, and you shall answer me.
Job 38:1-3

What could we possibly accuse God of?
He will give you what you need.... but may not be what you want.

May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had,
Romans 15:5

Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God. Romans 15:7

Psalm 8

Sermon Scripture: Jeremiah 20:7-18

Sing to the Lord; praise the Lord!
For he has delivered the life of the needy from the hand of evildoers. Jeremiah 20:13

So you think God doesn't answer your prayers? Or you don't think God is hearing you? Or you're not trusting God's will?

ok, walk away from God, handle all your problems on your own..... Then come back and tell me how that worked for you.

*Psalm 116:1-2 (NIV): "I love the LORD, for he heard my voice; he heard my cry for mercy. Because he turned his ear to me, I will call on him as long as I live".
*1 Peter 3:12 (KJV): "For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers...".
*Psalm 65:2 (NIV): "You who answer prayer, to you all people will come".
*Psalm 145:18 (MSG): "GOD’s there, listening for all who pray, for all who pray and mean it".
*1 John 5:15 (ESV): "And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him".
*Psalm 32:8 (NIV): "I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you."

Sermon Scripture Jonah 4:1-17

Isaiah 55:8-9
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.
Isaiah 53:5-6
But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him,
and by his wounds we are healed. We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way;
and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.

John 3:4-6
“How can someone be born when they are old?” Nicodemus asked. “Surely they cannot enter a second time into their mother’s womb to be born!” Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. 6 Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit[a] gives birth to spirit.

If you have Faith...you should have evidence of Faith
when someone says: "I believe in a higher power"..
What does that mean? Are they ashamed to say I believe in Jesus Christ?

Romans 12: 9-13
Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.
