Psalm 13:1-6 From Test to Testimony

Psalm 13 is a honest conversation, a psalm of lament; pouring out your heart to God.

God can use what is testing your faith today for you to use as a testimony tomorrow. What seems like a test in this season may become the testimony you’ll use in your next season.

Rev. Daniel Johnson illustrates the story of a chess champion looking at a painting titled 'Checkmate.' While the world sees a losing position and the devil claims victory, the champion realizes the King still has one more move.

This serves as a powerful metaphor for faith, reminding us that no matter how dire a situation may seem, God remains in control and has the final say.

As a new school year begins, the Greater Thankful family is praying for every student, teacher, administrator, staff member, school employee, college student, and parent. Remember, wherever God leads you this year, He will also give you the wisdom, strength, and grace you need. Walk by faith, do your best, and let your light shine for Christ.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart... and He will make straight your paths.” Proverbs 3:5–6 (ESV)

Heavenly Father, bless and protect our students, educators, and families throughout this school year. Grant wisdom, courage, and strength for every challenge. Keep our schools safe, help our students grow in knowledge and faith, and may everything they do bring glory to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
