God’s favor doesn’t depend on us being the most qualified, the wealthiest, or the smartest. His favor is what sustains us through difficult seasons, opens doors we could never open on our own, and protects the people we love.

Even in the moments we cannot see it, God is making a way.

Today is a reminder to stay grateful for the unseen blessings, the unexpected opportunities, and the daily grace that carries us farther than our own strength ever could.

Pentecost Sunday 🔥🕊️ the day the Holy Spirit filled the believers with power, boldness, and unity.

Suddenly, there was a sound from heaven like the roaring of a mighty windstorm, and it filled the house where they were sitting -Acts 2:2

May this Pentecost remind us that God still moves, still speaks, and still empowers His people today. Let our hearts be open to His presence, our lives led by His Spirit, and our faith set on fire for His purpose.

Today we honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

As we gather with family and friends this Memorial Day, may we pause to remember those who served with courage and gave everything for the freedoms we enjoy today. We pray for the families who carry their memory and for God’s peace, comfort, and strength to surround them.

May we never take their sacrifice for granted.

With heavy hearts, yet with confidence in the promises of God, Greater Thankful Missionary Baptist Church announces the transition of our beloved First Lady Emerita, Sis. Ida English, wife of our late Pastor Emeritus, Rev. Dr. P.Q. English, who transitioned to be with the Lord this morning.

We thank God for her life, her witness, and the tremendous impact she made on our church family and community. Sis. English will be remembered for her kindness, warm spirit, beautiful smile, encouraging heart, and the genuine love she shared with everyone she encountered.

Alongside Pastor English, she helped shape the heart and legacy of Greater Thankful, and her influence will continue to live on through the many lives she touched.

Please keep the English family lifted in prayer during this difficult season.
