Lair Cemetery Association Lair Cemetery was founded in 1855 in what is now Anna, Texas.

The Texas Historical Commission designated Lair Cemetery an official Historic Texas Cemetery (HTC) in 2021.

Have you marked your calendar for this Saturday November 2nd for the BBQ Dinner and Cemetery Tour Fundraisers? Well, if not, you need to!! BBQ sandwich plates will start being sold from 1pm till 5pm or till we sell out!! So don’t be late! Adults $10 and children 8 years and younger are $7.

The Cemetery tour hosted by the DAR Chapter is $5/adults and children ages 4-13
Are $3/each. Children under 3 years old are free but must be accompanied by paying adult.

We will also have items that are on a silent auction, along with a Bake Sale for Donations! So make that favorite pie or cake and help raise money for Wilson Chapel Cemetery. I hope to have two pecan pies made for this! I’m posting items in the comments that will be placed in the silent auction.

Descendants of the Lair and Riffe Families, city and county officials, volunteers, family members and friends attended the Texas Historical
Marker dedication ceremony for Lair Cemetery in Anna, Texas on Saturday. Diane Miller , 3rd Great Granddaughter of Dr. WD Lair, read the marker inscription. Thank you to all who helped make this happen!
