5. Pray for Your Neighbors by Name
At the end of the day, loving our neighbor is about reflecting the light we’ve been given. We aren't trying to "fix" people or check off a religious box. We are simply responding to the incredible love Jesus has shown us. He was intentional with us; He sought us out, learned our names, and served us in the most humble way possible.
Being a good neighbor is a journey, not a destination. Some days you’ll be the "star neighbor" who bakes cookies, and other days you’ll just be the one who offers a tired smile and a wave. Both are okay! The goal isn't perfection; it’s presence.
So, who is one person in your community you can be intentional with today? Maybe it’s the person you see every morning at the bus stop, or the neighbor you haven't spoken to in months. Take a deep breath, say a quick prayer, and just be kind. You never know how a small act of intentionality might be the very thing someone needs to feel the love of Christ.
Let's make our neighborhoods places of light, one small conversation at a time. If you need a place to track your prayers for your neighbors or write down the ways you’ve seen God moving in your community, don’t forget to check out our digital journals. They are designed to help you stay intentional in your walk with Him!
