Thankful for my sis today. God blessed me with the best sister I could ever imagine. She has always been in my court, she is a fantastic auntie to my kids even in their adulthood, my partner in crime, a terrific mother and grandmother and spiritual leader/teacher. There are not enough characters available to form the words that would adequately describe .hays88 “Tazzie” so without getting any more drippy, happy birthday, sis! You are one in a million.

Thinking about my girl today on her birthday. I have had more fun with this one than I can find pictures for. We have traveled the world, laughed our heads off and eaten very very well. She is one of the best humans I know. We often call her the good Curtis because she is genuinely so pure of thought and caring and thoughtful. Her hospitality definitely reflects our families heritage and to whatever end, God chose to give us virtually the same face! I love you more than I can say Kendra girl. This is going to be a good year. Happy birthday.

Well, Christmas at Eastside has begun. And as always, it didn’t disappoint. Our water themed service blew me away. We almost had to go into overflow, and I baptized so many people I lost count… people who heard the good news about Jesus like an 83-year-old woman, and two young adults who were at church for the first time, and a 70-year-old pastor son. I don’t know exactly what God is doing, but it is absolutely amazing and this is a very special Christmas. If you live near Eastside campus, come join us. Go to eastside.com for services and times
