Last night was a great gathering for worship. We had a guest liturgist, surprise visitor who helped lead worship, and kids who always help us to stay present and never take ourselves too seriously.

Memorial Day worship offered a call to repentance for the harm the Church has fostered for combat veterans. Jason Burkett wrote “A Combat Veteran’s Liturgy” which included Mark Twain’s “War Prayer”, the use of his uniform as metaphor for what is seen and unseen, and the following “Prayer of Resistance”:

Our allegiance is to Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace. Therefore, we reject violence, in ALL its forms and fashions, we repent and seek forgiveness from God and from our veteran Brothers and Sisters, for sins our nation ordered them to commit on our behalf. Help us to do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly before You. -Jason Burkett 2026

Last night was our first Tuesday worship. Love this crew.

We talked about Acts 1 as a window to liberation and freedom and pledged to look down and be present here rather than keeping our heads in the clouds.

Happy Mother’s Day. Megan preached about the Divine Feminine.

Join us this week for Mother’s Day and hear guest preacher (my wife) Megan as we talk about the Divine Feminine.

Also, we will be moving our regular worship service time to Tuesday nights at 6pm. Same place, same experience, just a new day and time. In place of Sunday worship, we will still gather to build community. More details to come over the next week.
