Hope City Church At Hope City Church, our mission is simple โ€” to help people follow Jesus together. God the Father is our Creator, Ruler, and Provider.

Helping People Follow Jesus + Make Disciples.

Come For The Message, Stay For The Community โ˜•๏ธ Everything we do, believe, and teach flows out of that mission and is built on the foundation of Godโ€™s Word. WHAT WE BELIEVE:

โ†’ THE BIBLE:

We believe the 66 books of the Bible are Godโ€™s divinely inspired Word (given to man, without

error), so that we may know and understand the truth of God and His love. It is the ultimate and final authority on all Christian beliefs and living.

2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Psalms 12:6, 119:105

โ†’ GOD:

There is one God who eternally exists in three distinct persons (the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit). God created all that exists from nothing out of love. God rules and sustains all things through His divine power. God providentially operates in human history to fulfill His plan of salvation. Deuteronomy 6:4; 1 Corinthians 8:4; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Matthew 28:19; Genesis 1:1; Psalm 90:2; Romans 11:33-36

โ†’ JESUS:

Jesus is fully God yet humbled himself to become Godโ€™s Son (a human born of a virgin). Jesus lived a sinless life. His undeserved death on a cross was an acceptable substitute for the sins of humanity. Jesus physically rose from the dead and ascended to the Father, where He reigns as our King and mediator. Jesus will visibly return one day to end this age and judge all mankind. John 10:30; Philippians 2:5-8; Matthew 1:23-25; John 10:15; Romans 3:24-25; 1 Peter 2:24; Matthew 28:6; Luke 24:38-39: Acts 2:30-31: Romans 4:25; Romans 8:34; Hebrews 7:25; 1 John 2:1; John 5:22-23; Acts 1:9-11; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; 2 Corinthians 5:10

โ†’ THE HOLY SPIRIT:

The Holy Spirit draws sinners to Christ. When we accept Christ as our Savior, we will receive the Holy Spirit to live inside us. The Holy Spirit empowers believers to live like Christ, to help us understand the Bible, strengthens our prayer life, and equips us to serve the church.

1 Corinthians 12:4-6; Acts 1:8; John 16:7-13; 1 Corinthians 2:12, 3:16; Ephesians 1:13; 1 Peter 1:2

โ†’ HUMANITY:

All people are made in the image of God. We are created out of love to be like Him and glorify Him. We are created with tremendous potential for good and the ability to choose good or evil. All people at some point choose disobedience to God, which is called sin. Sin results in alienation from God, which affects every area of our lives. Sin causes suffering in our world and the need for a Savior. Genesis 1:27; Isaiah 53:6, 59:1-2; Romans 3:23; Psalms 139:13-16; Colossians 2:13-15

โ†’ SALVATION:

All people choose to rebel against God and are in need of salvation, which cannot be purchased or earned. The Gospel is the Good News of salvation provided by Jesus Christโ€™s death and resurrection. This is a free gift of God that can be received through faith. It is available to anyone who accepts Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Faith is expressed in repentance, baptism by immersion, and a life submitted to Christ. John 3:16; Acts 4:12; Acts 2:38-40; Romans 5:10; 6:23; 10:10; Ephesians 2:8-10

Summer is here. And so is a brand new series.

Last Sunday, we kicked off Tools for the Road of Life, and if you missed it, here's what we know for sure: life is a trip. It has hills, detours, steep climbs, and long stretches where you're just not sure where you're headed.

But here's the thing, God hasn't left us without directions. Psalm 1 gives us something every traveler needs before they hit the gas.

A true north. A roadmap. The kind of wisdom that doesn't just sound good, it actually holds up when the road gets hard.

We're just getting started, and you won't want to miss what's coming this summer.

Before you hit the gas on life, you gotta know your True North ๐Ÿงญ

We just wrapped up a message about why wisdom is the most essential travel gear God's given us for this road trip called life.

So when you're facing a big decision, what's your go-to move?

๐Ÿ’ฌ Ask literally everyone you know for advice (more opinions = better choice, right?)

๐Ÿ“ Make a pros/cons list and overthink it for at least 3-5 business days

๐Ÿ™ Pray about it and ask God for wisdom

๐Ÿคท Wing it and hope everything works out

We've spent the last few weeks learning how to recognize the Enemy and fight back.

We've talked about the Devil, the Flesh, and the World. We've named the lies, identified the tactics, and equipped ourselves with the truth.

But here's the thing: the Christian life isn't just about fighting battles. It's about the journey.

And every journey needs the right tools.

This Sunday, we're starting a brand new series called Tools for the Road of Life. Because God hasn't just called us to survive, He's given us everything we need to thrive on this trip we call life.

First up? Knowing your True North before you hit the gas.

You don't want to miss this one.

Spiritual warfare doesn't stop at your front door. It follows you home.

So what's the biggest spiritual battle your family is facing right now?

๐Ÿ“ฑ Screen time taking over real connection
๐Ÿ˜ค Conflict and tension that won't quit
๐Ÿ• Who can eat the most pizza during family dinner (just kidding... unless?)
๐Ÿ˜ด Too tired/busy to prioritize God together

Some Sundays are a breath before something big, and this is one of them.

We just wrapped up an incredible series, and something brand new is coming next week. If you've been meaning to invite someone to church, next Sunday is the perfect moment for them to walk through the doors.

New series. Fresh start. And a community that will make them feel right at home from day one.

So this week, think about who's been on your heart. That friend. That family member. That coworker. Shoot them a text and make a plan to come together next Sunday.

We can't wait to see you AND whoever you bring.

If you've been feeling like you're losing the same battle over and over, Sunday's message was for you.

We wrapped up The Good Guys vs. The Bad Guys series with The Battle Plan, and here's the truth: knowing your enemies (the Devil, the Flesh, the World) isn't enough. You need to actually fight back.

Prayer. Scripture. Worship. Community. These aren't just nice religious activities. They're your weapons. And the Enemy wants you to think they're optional, that you can fight this battle on your own strength, that you've got this handled.

But you don't have to fight alone. The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are fighting with you, and they've already won.

So here's the question for this week: Which spiritual practice have you been neglecting? The one that, if you're honest, you know you need to pick back up?

Drop a ๐Ÿ™ if you're committing to one this week. We're cheering you on.

You just walked out of church. The message landed, worship was good, and something's stirring inside you.

But here's the thing: we all process Sundays differently. Some of us leave ready to conquer the world. Others need food. Immediately. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Where are you at this Sunday?

โค๏ธ Fired up and ready to take on the week
๐Ÿ˜† Inspired... but also really hungry
๐Ÿ˜Š Still processing, need a nap first

There's something special about a summer evening with good people around you. That's exactly what June 7th is going to be.

We're throwing a Summer Kickoff with food, games, inflatables, and most importantly, real people doing life together. And here's the thing: this is one of those events you're going to wish your people were at.

You know that friend, that family member, that neighbor who keeps saying "maybe someday" about church? This is their someday. No pressure, no service, just a fun summer evening with good people.

The world says you need more, you need to be more, you need to do more.

More status. More success. More stuff. And if you can just get there, then you'll finally feel fulfilled.

But here's the truth. The world can't deliver on that promise. It never could.

Jesus offers something completely different. True belonging, real peace, and lasting joy.

Not because of what you achieve, but because of who you already are in Him.

This week, what if you stopped striving and started resting in that?

Drop a ๐Ÿ™ if you need this reminder today.
