When Christian missionaries arrived in the 19th century, they introduced mission work, education, healthcare, Bible publishing, theological training, and social services, which encouraged renewal within the Coptic Church.

Wednesday morning, a glacier collapsed on the Nepal–Tibet border. The water came with no warning. Over 500 dead. Thousands missing. The worst-hit district can now be reached only by helicopter.

Eleven churches in our partner network were hit.

One pastor, safe on high ground, opened his doors that same day. More than 400 people are sheltering there now — anyone who came, whatever their faith. He needs blankets, cooking gas, food, and medicine.

WCCM has opened a $20,000 Nepal Relief Fund.
