When James and I first got together, he shared his heart about wanting to keep our relationship pure. It melted my heart because God had already shown me that I needed to be obedient, even in my season of singleness. God’s standards don’t change based on our age, our past, or our circumstances.

From the very beginning, we both understood that honoring God meant honoring each other. Looking back, I believe that decision created a strong foundation for the trials and tribulations we’ve faced along the way.

Marriage doesn’t get easier simply because there are two people. In many ways, it can be more challenging because it’s two different people learning to become one. There will always be differences, struggles, and seasons that test you. That’s why reliance on God isn’t optional—it’s absolutely mandatory.

God was at the center of our relationship from the beginning, and I truly believe that’s the only way marriage can work. When two people are looking to Him for direction instead of themselves, He provides the wisdom, grace, forgiveness, and strength needed to navigate life’s challenges together. ❤️

Today we honor and remember the brave men and women who have served and sacrificed for our freedom. 🇺🇸

Memorial Day is more than a long weekend or a celebration to me — it’s a moment to pause with deep gratitude for those who laid down their lives so we could live in liberty. We think about the courage, the sacrifice, the families who carry the weight of loss, and the heroes whose legacy lives on through generations.

May we never take freedom for granted.
