It actually has been a very blessed and pretty productive day for me today. I got to visit with my Diana Simmons for a bit . Then I came home and made more organic cat and dog treats plus some more bottoms for the pupcakes for the upcoming farmer's market. After that Cassie Brown and I went to our niece's Kyla Sampson graduation party. What a beautiful gem she is! And then after what seemed like forever I got a MUCH NEEDED HUG from our nephew Lee Sampson and even one from my Nicole Cozy Koch. I also wanted to share a Pic of our Baymax chillin on his table on the back patio and a Pic of the flowers I planted in our little Zen area up front. I'm tired and my back is pretty tender but still so much to be thankful for. ❤️

UPDATE...

Hello everyone! First off I want to say now that I am physically able to get out and about a Lil bit more that it's always soooo nice to run into "my basement sale" people. I miss all of you a lot and whole heartedly hope you all are doing well!!!

Secondly I want to promote 2 things that I'm planning and preparing for, for the near future... ❤️

The FIRST thing is I'll be having my big annual cancer benefit yard sale the weekend of the rhubarb fest.(the first friday and Saturday of june) Throughout these handful of months I have been able to slowly gather some antique and vintage treasures plus as we continue to try to downsize and make our lives a lil more simpler I also am donating some of my own vintage items plus all of my blow molds to place into the sale. I also still have TONS of really nice namebrand jeans in several different sizes and other nice clothing plus some nice housewares items too.

The money for this year's yard sale will again be going to Our nephew Brian Brown (ORIGINALLY FROM ALEDO AND KEITHSBURG) who continues to so valiantly fight his cancer issues plus when we do communicate he thankfully seems to remain so positive and words can't express how proud I am of him. Sadly tho he is going on his 4th round of chemo for this new treatment he started. Then frustratingly his insurance screwed up so he wasn't able to get anything done from Nov til Feb so now 2 new stupid spots of cancer came back on his lungs yet again. =(

After this next round Brian will have scans done and hopefully will be able to schedule a surgery right away but if not then he will have 8 more rounds of chemo to go. The surgery he will have to have will be 9+ hours to remove his entire stomach, 3/4th of his esophagus, and part of his colon to use to rebuild his esophagus and his small intestines. He is absolutely tonka tough and hot wheels fast and does the best he can by trying to work part time to help support his family. ❤️. We all know God has him so gently held in his hands and I pray every single day that everything ends on a positive note for him. I SO DO BELIEVE IN THE POWER OF PRAYER!

THE SECOND THING IS, is that you will find me with a booth set up at this year's Aledo's farmers market every Thurs STARTING June 11TH I believe thru October in Central Park here in Aledo,IL. It's been awhile but I again have started to bake my home homemade cat and dog treats and also have been making on top of purchasing some wholesale jewelry on the side to sell. I also for the first time set up a venmo. Proceeds to that again is mostly going to be going to Our nephew along with a donation to relay for life at the end of June. So I am asking if anyone has the time and wants to pop by to say hi and contribute in any way at all every little bit is so much greatly appreciated. I desire to keep the promise I made to my mom to continue to for as long as I am physically able to to always help a family (like her and my daddy did) who has battled or is currently battling cancer. ❤️

Now onto a more personal note. At first (unsurprisingly) I wasn't being too compliant after having this 3rd back surgery. After the surgery just when I was starting to feel better plus just cus I am also one of those people who doesn't like to really sit still much on top of always worried about not having things I need to get done done.etc etc etc. Lol. Well after 4 falls and doing some stuff i probably shouldn't be doing I knew I had hurt myself again. So at the beginning of April I became totally completely compliant and have been trying super hard to follow Dr's orders. (And as a nurse my fellow nurse friends know how hard that can be to do.) I also began to pray... A LOT. Well this past week my back has begun to feel the best it has felt in years to the point I at times have been crying tears of joy. With 4 diseases in my spine will it ever be completely better? Unless the Lord touches me and miraculously heals me the answer is no and because of my paralized foot i will always walk with a limp too but this is the best I have felt in a long time so to those who have continued to pray for me I want to say thank you. ❤️

I luvu all and hope to see u at the yard sale and farmer's market soon!!...I know it was a lot but that's all...

UPDATE!!!!!

I'm beyond frustrated but at the same time because of my faith I so believe that things do happen for a reason and that God is in control...

I got to the hospital, they put me in a gown, inserted my IV (Thankfully did not put in the catheter at that time) and hooked me up to the heart monitor then GUESS WHAT????... A nurse came in and after looking over my medications proceeded to tell me that my surgery was being canceled. =(

Yesterday I received a call from my surgeon's office instructing me saying I could take my scheduled am meds with only a sip of water. Well like my mom i take a lot of vitamins and supplements. Turmeric and fish oil included... anyways I guess they can cause u to bleed out and get large blood clots after surgery. =(

So now i have to hold some of my supplements for 2 weeks and continue to try to patiently deal with this tremendous amount of pain until the surgeon calls me back with a new surgery date. So prayers still very much appreciated. BUT...just geez =(

I still so do appreciate anyone who has taken the time to pray for me, send me uplifting messages, call etc... so anyways I guess I will be posting another update soon with a new surgery date.

01/21/2026

I wasn't expecting the amount of encouraging and kind messages, gifts left at my door, and cheerful silly memes and such I have received so far. I just wanted to make sure I thanked all of you before I go under the knife in the morning. You all have lifted my spirits so much and it means a lot!

I still feel very much at peace about all of this and after suffering this long I am just so ready for any kind of relief. ❤️ I promise to keep u all posted. If it doesn't sound like me it might be my hubby posting but either way we will keep everyone informed.

Complete spinal fusion surgery
TOMORROW!! 10am
Preop 8am
303 N Jackson St, Morrison, IL 61270
If everything goes well I should be in patient for 2 or 3 days.
1 overnight guest allowed
Only 2 visitors allowed in the room at a time (18 and older)
Just a reminder I may be very medicated and will have that Jackson pratt drainage bag hooked up to me. Its not the most prettiest thing in the world to look at. Lol

The pain has not changed and I still can't wait til I'm off of this morphine. Prayers still very much appreciated that surgery goes well with no complications and that I get some much needed pain relief. Tysm again for all of the kind messages, prayers, and words of support. ❤️ GOD HAS SO GOT ME AND NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS MAY HIS WILL BE DONE.

01/10/2026

UPDATE... first off I can't thank the people enuf who have been sending messages on here or shooting me texts to check up on me. It definitely makes all of this crud a little easier. ❤️. I do try my best to message back but the pain with this is getting way out of control.

I'm so counting down the days til surgery. (On the 22nd) I still haven't been given a time yet but should find that out when we go to morrison hospital on the 14th for a cat scan. The reason for the cat scan is since part of the surgery will be done robotically it will show where to insert the bar and all of the screws and such.

It says during recovery I should not bend, twist, lift anything over 5 #, and not be upright any longer than 30 minutes at a time. There also will be a Jackson Pratt drainage tube inserted into my incision that I will be so "beautifully" modeling that will be allowing any excess fluids to drain out.

I will probably be in the hospital 3 days after surgery and like the last 2 times will be having to use a walker for bit followed by physical therapy. (Gross)

Anyways if u happen to see me out and about these next few weeks looking like some type of an apocalyptic creature don't mind me. lol

My faith remains strong and I know no matter what happens God's got me.

2 Corinthians 12:9

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Ty for all of the prayers and pls keep sending them up cus i know i have a long road to recovery ...
