It’s been a full and joyful weekend at Alamance Lutheran Church — and yes, plenty of food was involved!

On Saturday evening, we brought back a beloved tradition: our homemade ice cream social. As we kicked off planning for our 100th Anniversary in 2029, stories were shared, memories resurfaced, and the fellowship was sweet in every way. A special thank‑you to Rebecca Hoyle Maness and Elizabeth Lockley for guiding this meaningful gathering.

On Sunday, we celebrated Pastor Mark Coulter with a heartfelt farewell luncheon. We were blessed to be his first interim assignment in retirement, and we look forward to welcoming him back as a supply pastor in the months ahead. Time to enjoy being a retired man of leisure, Pastor Mark! Grateful thanks to our Hospitality Committee for organizing a beautiful send‑off.

Members of the Social Ministry/Evangelism Team welcomed the teachers and staff of EM Holt Elementary School back for a new school year with a spread of breakfast treats for everyone. The faith community of Alamance Lutheran Church is grateful for the dedication and generosity of this active outreach team, whose service continues to bless our neighbors.
