Thought of the Day
"They Disappeared, But Don't Assume God Did It"
There’s something powerful about praying, “Lord, if this person is not for me, give me the wisdom and strength to let them go.” But when they disappear, don’t automatically declare, “God removed them.”
Instead, we should say: “God, I trust You with what I cannot control.” Proverbs 3:5–6 tells us to trust God rather than lean on our own understanding. Sometimes He closes doors... Sometimes people make choices that have nothing to do with God “removing” them. Either way, "you don't have to chase what isn't choosing you!"
In relationships, maturity means knowing the difference between pursuing reconciliation and pursuing someone who has already withdrawn!
You can care without chasing... You can forgive without reconnecting... You can want answers without making closure your idol... And you can love someone while accepting that the relationship may have ended!
"Your peace cannot depend on someone else's willingness to explain themselves."
Jesus never called us to chase people who refuse to walk with us. He called us to follow HIM. So, if someone disappears, pray before you interpret it - “Lord, show me what is mine to release, what is mine to learn, and what is mine to leave in Your hands.” Because sometimes God changes the relationship. Sometimes He changes YOU. And sometimes He simply gives you the grace to stop chasing what He never asked you to hold onto!
