The pantry serves the needs of many families in the community and is open to all each Thursday 10AM - 12 noon.

I regret that we will not be having our free movie event this Fall but wanted you to know that the Holy Trinity “Bread of Heaven Food Pantry” is still open and serving residents of Montgomery County experiencing a hardship on Thursday mornings. Thank you to the many people who have registered for the movie. Online registration is now closed. Seating might be available for walk-in’s but cannot be guaranteed. Is your child looking for a Community Service Project for school, church, scouts, or …just because? Our Bread of Heaven Food Pantry might present a great opportunity. Our Pantry serves those in need in the community and we are always striving to keep the shelves well-stocked. Recently, a 9-year-old baked cookies and sold them to buy food for the Pantry. His project was self-initiated; and, with a little help from his mom on the first batch, he baked the cookies himself. With the proceeds, he and his mom stuffed an SUV with food for the pantry and then helped distribute it. Well done –wonderful young entrepreneur and philanthropist! Perhaps, your child would be interested in an innovative project as well. Obviously, we do not want anyone to collect door-to-door; and, of course, parental supervision over any efforts by children is always recommended to ensure their safety.
On October 12th at the HiWay Theater in Jenkintown (between 9:00 am and 11:00 am), we will be collecting non-perishable food items for the Pantry. If a service project yields food for the Pantry, we would be happy and thankful to receive it on the 12th. Collections are also welcome anytime at the Bread of Heaven Food Pantry in Holy Trinity Lutheran Evangelical Church in Abington.

Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church is pleased to invite the families in the community to a FREE Movie Event (with Free Popcorn and Beverage) featuring the movie “Hotel Transylvania.” Absolutely no payment is necessary for admission. Admission is free to all. We ask only that you click the Sign-Up link and reserve your seat(s) so that we (1) know how many people to plan for -and- (2) ask that you let us know if you will need to cancel. We want to make sure seats are available to everyone who is interested in seeing this great family-fun movie.
We will be collecting non-perishable food items for our Bread of Heaven Food Pantry. Our Pantry serves those in need in our community and we are always striving to keep the shelves well-stocked for them. If you would be interested (and this is not necessary for admission), please bring a non-perishable food item(s) with you to the movie event. If you are not attending the movie but would like to contribute to the food pantry, we will be at the Theater accepting donations from 9 am to 11:15 am. Of course, donations are always welcome at the Food Pantry located in Holy Trinity on 2086 Parkview Avenue in Abington.
