It’s World Transplant day!

I raised my daughter
the best I knew how.

And somehow
she became even more beautiful
than I ever imagined she would.

Kinder than me.
Stronger than me.
More generous with her heart
than this world deserved.

That’s what makes this grief
so impossible to carry some days.

Not just that I lost her.

But that the world lost someone
who made it gentler simply by being here.

And still—
through all the heartbreak—
there is this pride inside me
that refuses to disappear.

Because I knew her.

I watched her become herself.
I watched her love people deeply.
I watched her leave goodness behind everywhere she went.

And no amount of grief
can take away the honor
of being her mother.

That will always be
the most important part of who I am.

Today is Donor Remembrance Day.

The donation and transplant community is coming together today to honor and celebrate the donor heroes who have given the gift of life through organ, eye and tissue donation.

We are sharing forget-me-not flowers to symbolize that donors and their legacy of generosity will always be remembered.

also honors donor families and serves as a reminder that they are always a part of the Donate Life community. 💙💚
