Bible Stuff – The Law, The Grace, The Glory –
The Law of God, also called and known as the Law of Moses was originally given to Israel under the Mosaic Covenant to help guide and protect Israel. The Law and obedience to the Law was the heartbeat and backbone of the Mosaic Contract. Prophetically, shadow and type, the Law had various purposes. The Law – showed the depravity of man. The Law – pronounced the judgment of man under sin and death. The Law – showed man’s need for a Savior. The Law – showed and revealed man’s great need for help. The Law – showed and revealed the overall basic purpose and destination of obedience and righteousness, which is to trust God, to love God and to love people. The Law – prophetically reveals the gospel and the Lord Jesus Christ. The Law – was the forerunner and revealer of the grace that was to come.
The Grace of God, can be defined in various ways, some of those being: the free gift of God, the blessing and kindness of God, the unmerited favor of God, the power of God and the forgiveness and love of God. The Grace of God, is basically, God giving His Son, Jesus Christ, Yeshua Messiah, to pay for our sin, purchase our lives, save us from death, rescue us from judgment and give us the free gift of righteousness and eternal life. The grace of God can also include receiving the Love of God and receiving the Holy Spirit of God. True grace teaches us to live by the power of the Holy Spirit, which is to live godly, holy and righteously.
The Glory of God is about God and His great plan of Salvation. The Glory of God is about Jesus Christ living in us. The Glory of God, is the Holy Spirit living inside us and displaying and revealing and showing the power, grace and love of God toward us, with us, in us and through us. The Glory of God, is the holy child of God, full of the Holy Spirit of God, living in the holy love of God, and giving God all the glory.
Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, who walk not according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set me free from the law of sin and death. 3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and concerning sin, He condemned sin in the flesh, 4 in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.
