Today's sermon at shalom worship center kakunyu by pastor Katende James

God has called us to be winners, but how do we actually win? In Matthew 7:24-27, Christ Jesus used the analogy of a house to illustrate how we can win in God. He spoke in a way that the people could understand, using language that was familiar to them.
Jesus might have spoken to builders and painted a picture of how they could win in God. He taught them by starting from the known to the unknown, just as we were taught in Bible college. He told them about two houses, one built on sand and the other built on rock. Both were finished and looked great, but when the storm came, only the house built on the rock stood strong. We are like those houses, and Christ Jesus is the rock.

Persecution is a part of the promise, and we should not expect everything to be easy in life. There will be storms and floods, but if we build our faith on the rock of Jesus, we will stand strong. In the world, we will face many hardships, but the future will reveal who will stand and who will fall.
We need to build our faith on the word of God, not on the facts of the world. The Bible is our manual, given to us by God, and it explains who we are and what we must do. We should not consult with people of the world who do not understand us, but instead turn to God's word for guidance.
Let us pray that God may make us strong on the rock of Jesus. When we are built on Him, we will be able to face any storm or hardship and emerge victorious. Remember that we are houses, and our foundation is crucial. May God bless us all as we seek to build our faith on Him.

Rejoice! Today we celebrate the triumph of Jesus Christ over death, and the power of His love to bring us hope, peace and eternal life. As we gather together with our loved ones, let us reflect on the beauty of God's grace and the boundless blessings He has bestowed upon us. May the ressurection of Jesus Christ inspire us to live with courage, faith, and compassion, and to share His message of love and redemption with the world. Happy Easter to all of our church family, near and far. May this day be filled with light, joy and new beginnings.

HEALTH SLEEP FOR EVERY CHILD
Can you imagine sleeping on a cold hard floor without a bed to
dream in?
Sleep is an essential building block for a child’s mental (developing
young minds) and physical health (having direct effect on
happiness).
Children who get little sleep are more likely to have behavioral
problems, mental health problems, physical health problems, poor
academic performance and difficulty rising up to their full potential.
Thousands of children in Kasozi-Makulubita are sleeping on the
floor with their families struggling to pay school fees, let alone a
comfortable bed.
The “health sleep for every child” campaign is all about ensuring
underprivileged children of Kasozi Makulubita enjoy the many
benefits of a good night’s sleep
In this year 2022 we are helping 50 children sleep better. We are
donating 50 mattresses on Tuesday the 20th day of December 2022.

Kasozi is a small isolated village, 40 kilometers from Kampala off semuto Road in Makulubita Sub-County Luwero district.

Makulubita Sub-county had a population of 33,500 in 2015 and in 2020 a population of 37,700 (Uganda Bureau of Statistics) surviving on agriculture and trade in trading centers.

Founder and CEO Pastor Katende James first came to the village in 2018 and witnessed firsthand the high level of poverty in Kasozi. He realized that he could start small to assist the orphans and vulnerable children that were not in position to access education from public schools that where located 4.5km away from Kasozi village.

Shalom Relations Project (SHARP) started with ten (10) orphans and vulnerable children in the child sponsorship programme; sponsoring them from their homes in a community school that had only four class rooms.
Today 120 children are under the support of Shalom Relations Project (SHARP).
This was made possible with the support from the members of Shalom Worship Center Kakunyu and friends that pay school fees and provide other support as well make personal and annual visits to the organization in Kasozi.

Through monthly financial support, Shalom Worship Center members and friends invest directly in lives of children living in extreme
poverty. The sponsored children have the opportunity to develop their potential and be released
from poverty.
Child sponsorship is the most efficient way to end child poverty. When you sponsor a child, you’re helping to ensure that they grow healthy, educated and safe forever changing their life and future.

Children are good imitators but not good listeners. Our actions are often contrary to what we hope to project.

It's a duty of every generation of Christians to see that the next generation hears about the mighty acts of God. It's our duty to impart truth through praise
Psalms145:4 One generation shall praise Your works to another, And shall declare Your mighty acts.
As parents and church let's use technologies as tools to reach the Gen Zers.

Deuteronomy 6:4 “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one! 5 You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.

6 “And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. 7 You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise...."

Majority of Gen Zers who grew up in church have abandoned the faith of their fathers because it never became their own.

Gen Z are growing up to be stewards of this world, but they are anti social. Web 3.0 is knocking we are going into decentralization being in isolation the love is deteriorating Revelation 2:4

Solution: parents educate your children; church equip the parents and teachers to educate the children; empower the children and youth ministries in schools because children spend a lot of time at school (9-10months). Anytime, anywhere at home, school and church let the children be shown the truth (Jesus).
Shalom

What we owe to one generation, we repay to the next.
What will you teach to the next generation?

What will you teach Generation z (Gen Z) the age group that has seen and used a smart phone before their twelveth birthday (before reaching secondary)
As the old generations spend most of their time listening to radio, reading newspaper and watching TV; the Gen Z communicate primarily through social media and texts, and spend as much time on their phones.

What is Gen Z?
Generation Z, is the largest generation in Uganda and is anyone born 1997 to 2012 ( ages 10 to 25 in 2022). Gen Z grew up with technology, the internet, and social media, they are tech-addicted and anti-social.
What is Generation Alpha?
Members born between 2013 and 2028, some are not yet born.
Alphas have been completely immersed in technology since birth. These children are comfortable playing games, speaking to voice assistants and swiping on smartphones. To them technologies are deeply integrated parts of everyday life.

Gen Z the pivotal generation to the future; Retailers, brands, politicians, LGBTQI community etc are establishing relationships with Gen Z.

Parents do we have a relationship with Gen Zers?

Gen Zers grew up with higher divorce rates and multiple income sources to make ends meet due to economic pressures, resulting in a general lack of an adult presence in their childhoods and teenage years.

Gen Zers have grown wholly in the digital era. They prefer streaming services and short visual content(TikTok, YouTube short videos etc).

Gen Z the "loneliest generation" as been attacked by mental health challenges.
The endless hours spent online on Smart phones or Netflix can foster feelings of isolation and depression.
Solution: parents educate your children; church equip the parents and teachers to educate the children; empower the children and youth ministries in schools because children spend a lot of time at school (9-10months). Anytime, anywhere at home, sch

Madalena and her four grand children all beneficiaries in

Until the year 2018 Mpagi Vincent 11 years, Kabali Joseph 9 years, Ikol
Gloria 7 years and Sserunkuma Trevor 11 years, had not been able to attend school as neither of them had
a mattress. These children live with their grandmother; Ikol Gloria is a great granddaughter, while the
three are of one deceased mother. Their father had abandoned them when they were very young, leaving
their mother as their sole career. Latter the mother died and where brought to stay with the grandmother Madalena Aketch in poverty striken Kasozi village.
These children’s future looked bleak: without an education and were destined to live in the villages under
child labor. Thanks to the donors and sponsors all of them are studying in Shalom Primary School Kasozi,
a school founded by Shalom Relations Project and the grand mother Madalena Aketch is an employee of Shalom Primary School Kasozi.
This was possible because of you, your support can reach where your hand cannot reach.

Jehovah Incomparable
Jehovah Instructable
Proverbs 30:4
Who has ascended to heaven and come down?
Who has gathered the wind in his fists?
Who has wrapped up the waters in a garment?
Who has established all the ends of the earth?
What is his name, and what is his son's name?
Surely you know!
Enoch and Elijah were taken up to heaven but neither of them returned again, to inform mortals what was to be seen, known, and enjoyed there.
what man has ascended up into heaven to learn, or returned back to earth to teach? No man!
Who, like God, has the wisdom and power to control and harness the wind in his fists? No man!
Not any man or set of men; it is not in the power of angels, to restrain or let loose the winds at pleasure; nor has Satan, though called the prince of the power of the air, but he that made them can command them to blow, or be still; even he who brings them out of his treasures, and his own son, whom the wind and sea obeyed.
Who, like God, has the wisdom and power to gather large amounts of water in the clouds? No man! (Job 36:26-33)
Who, like God, has the wisdom and power to establish all the ends of earth, to lay the foundation and build upon it? No man! (Job 38:4-7, Proverbs 8:25-26).
What is his name, and what is his son's name?
No mere man can ascend up to heaven, nor descend from it, to obtain wisdom. But Jesus descended and then ascended to sit at God’s right hand (John 3:13). He made all things by His power; by Him all things consist; and He upholds all things by the word of His power (John 1:3). In Him are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge, and He has been made wisdom for each of the elect (Col 2:3).
Surely you know!
Shalom
