Rising Point for Christ Morning Prayer (Psalm 90) - Join us:

Gracious Heavenly Father,

As we come before Your presence today, my heart is filled with gratitude and reverence.

Your word in Psalm 90 reminds me of the eternal nature of Your love and the wisdom that flows from Your divine hand. Just as the psalmist wrote, "Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days" (Psalm 90:14).

Lord, Your presence is our refuge and strength.

In during life's uncertainties, You remain our constant source of security and hope.

Your eternal nature, as described in Psalm 90, reassures us that You are the same yesterday, today, and forever.

We find peace in Your unchanging character, knowing that Your love and promises are secure.

As we reflect on verse 14, I am reminded of the gentle joy that comes from being in Your love.

Just as the dawn brings a fresh start to each day, Your love renews our hearts and souls. In the busy rhythm of life, help us pause and soak in the comfort of Your presence, like the morning dew refreshing the earth.

May our lives be a melody of gratitude and praise, for You have filled us with an everlasting gladness.

In closing, we thank You, Heavenly Father, for Your timeless Word that guides and uplifts us.

As we journey through today, may verse 14 be etched in our hearts, a constant reminder of Your boundless love that brings joy and fulfillment.

With gratitude and love, we lift up this prayer in the Name of Your precious Son, Jesus Christ.

Amen.

Embracing a New Day: A Morning Prayer of Love
(Rising Point for Christ)

Dear Heavenly Father,

As I open my eyes to this new day,

I am reminded of the words from Psalm 48:1-3, "Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised, in the city of our God, His holy mountain. Beautiful in elevation, the joy of the whole earth, is Mount Zion in the far north, the city of the great King. Within her citadels, God has made Himself known as a fortress."

Lord, you are indeed great, and my heart swells with gratitude as I think of your boundless love and grace.

Just as Mount Zion stands tall and beautiful, you are the joy of my heart and the source of my strength.

You are my fortress, a safe place where I find comfort.

As I step into this day, I ask for your guidance and wisdom to navigate the challenges that may come my way.

Help me to see the opportunities for kindness and love that you have placed before me.

Just as you have made yourself known in the citadels, reveal your presence in every moment of my day.

Fill me with your peace that surpasses all understanding, so that no matter what circumstances arise, I can rest in your embrace.

May my actions reflect your light and goodness, drawing others closer to you.

Thank you, Lord, for the gift of this new day.

I offer it to you, trusting that you will lead me and guide me in all that I do.

May your name be praised and glorified, for you are truly great and greatly to be praised.

In the name of Jesus, I pray.

Amen.

A believers identity “in Christ” means we are:

1. Saved
Rescued from sin’s penalty (Eph 2:8-9)

2. Sealed
Marked by the Spirit (Eph 1:13-14)

3. Secure
Eternally safe in God (Rom 8:38-39)

4. Sanctified
Set apart for God (1 Cor 6:11)

5. Sent
Christ’s ambassadors (2 Cor 5:20)

With respect to the Lord, we are debtors who cannot pay. That’s why the Bible speaks of redemption in economic language—we were bought with a price (1 Cor. 6:20). Only someone else—Christ—can pay our debt. That’s grace. It’s not our good works that secure our rescue but only the works of Christ. It’s His merit, not ours. We don’t merit anything. He grants us His merit by grace, and we receive it only by faith. The essence of grace is its voluntary free bestowal. As soon as it’s a requirement, it’s no longer grace.

Grace should never cease to amaze us. God has an absolute, pure, holy standard of justice. That’s why we cling with all our might to the merit of Jesus Christ. He alone has the merit to satisfy the demands of God’s justice, and He gives it freely to us. We haven’t merited it. There’s nothing in us that elicits the Lord’s favor that leads to our justification. It’s pure grace. — R.C. Sproul

What is Grace? By R.C. Sproul

“When we truly understand grace—when we see that God only owes us wrath but has provided Christ’s merit to cover our demerit—then everything changes. The Christian motivation for ethics is not merely to obey some abstract law or a list of rules; rather, our response is provoked by gratitude. Jesus understood that when He said, “If you love Me, keep My commandments.” If I may have the liberty to paraphrase: “Keep My commandments not because you want to be just, but because you love Me.” A true understanding of grace—of God’s unmerited favor—always provokes a life of gratitude and obedience.”
