“We need saints without cassocks, without veils. We need saints with jeans and tennis shoes. We need saints that go to the movies, that listen to music, that hang out with friends.”
You can be cool and still go to church. You can know how to enjoy the best in this world without being callous or mundane. We need saints.
Meet the first Millenial Saint who always had his eyes on Heaven. It is inspiring to see all he did and the way he lived his 15 years on earth. These are some of the things that have impacted me the most about his life...
1- His love and passion for the Eucharist. By age 12 he was already compiling his list of all of the Euchatistic Miracles which he later put in a website that he created! (Check it out!) He did this because he was convinced that if people really knew the Eucharist was Jesus their lives would be changed! He was also attending daily Mass by age 7... bc he wanted to ❤️
2- He was a typical teenager who was able to do amazing things by simply being himself and telling others about what and who he loved. (This including Jesus and gaming but mostly Jesus 🙂
3- He reminds us of that the internet can be a beautiful place for Evangelization.
4- In a time where we feel like we need to have it all planned out. Carlos points us to our main mission... “Get close to Jesus, that is my life plan”
The newly beatified Carlos Acutis, patron of the Internet may we all follow in your footsteps keeping our eyes on the infinite, seeking our strength in the Eucharist and spreading this message to all we encounter while still wearing jeans and enjoying every moment of life 😎
