Theme : Sovereign
Sermon Key Points
Romans 9 : 10 - 13
- While Jacob and Esau were still in the womb, God made a decision that the older shall serve the younger, this is a decision that was made without the concern of these two children and non could question this because He that made a decision is Sovereign.
- There is need to understand that God's purpose isn't only in good things, it can also come through situations that seem bad yet leading to greatness. There is pain that God purposed for every man to go through and there is nothing we can do to change it because it was decided by the Supreme and non can question it.
- God has a plan for each one of us and in it both goodness and pain are inclusive but all for our benefit.
Luke 22 : 41 - 42
- Men that have understood the sovereignty of God don't pray at the same level as others because they understand how God purposes, the cup represents challenges and things that seem not to be in our desire.
- There are battles that God will fight for you even without your knowledge and there are those that He designed for you to go through because that's His sovereignty, therefore we must attain such an understanding not to focus on only one side of goodness.
Job 1 : 8 - 22
- The church must reach a level where God Himself testifies over it, we've come into times where we must strive to see our leaders testify over us more than we do for ourselves.
- Some of the things God allows and accepts to come our way are only because He wants to show the devil that we're built on a firm foundation that can't be shaken. Once you understand the mystery of sovereignty, even your prayer changes.
