SETTING GODLY PLANS AND GOALS FOR 2019

I am sure by this time all our eyes are focusing at what we want to achieve in 2019. And so many of us are now writing down all the things that we want God to do for us in 2019 and if you haven't, you are getting late. But the problem is, we assume that God is just seated there waiting to receive those prayer requests on 31st.
I am just here to remind us that God wants to get involved even at this point of writing your prayer requests. You may now wonder, how do I get God involved in writing my prayer request? This is what I think, you need to ask your self these questions before you write down your prayer requests for 2019; There are nine most important questions you need to ask your self if possible meditate upon them!

1. Have you prayed before writing! Prayer helps us to open our hearts to God so that He can speak to us. Through prayer, you are actually asking for His guidance.

2. Are you on his side? Accepting Jesus as your Lord and savior, call it getting born again is actually agreeing with God to do His works in you life.

3. Are you giving God the first place. In what ever you are planing to do, have you considered if that's right before God. Does it contradict with God's word?

4. Are your plans drawing you more to God? Some of our goals however good they may look, they are satan's plans to distance us from God.

5. Have you left a room for God to give you something better? God knows what is best for us. Our knowledge is limited and so we can't know all things but God does!

6. Do you know that God's timing is not our timing? It's important to set a time flames but we must always realize that God's timing is always the best.

7. Have you learnt from the lessons of the previous years? God always allows us to go through so many things in life so that we can learn from them.

8. Do you have someone you are accountable to? You need someone spiritual in your life whom you will always share and pray with for encouragement and spiritual insight.

9. Are you ready to take an extra step? Most of these goals we do set actually require us to do more than we used to do in the previous years.

I am very convinced that if you have all the above in place, you are going to enjoy as you see God working out all your plans in this coming year. He did it for me in the last year and I do believe that He can do it for all of us in this coming year!

I WISH YOU A HAPPY AND PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR 2019!

To all the fathers who are have considered their families as their first ministry, God bless you!

Do you know why the nation of Israel suffered a lot in the hands of a loving God their father? It's because He entrusted a lot with them and therefore, much was required of them which they they could not give in return. Unfortunately, this applies to many of us today, the Lord has greatly entrusted a lot with us and a lot is required of us, but how many are willing to give back a lot in return? If you still have life, there is still a chance!

There are facts which are had to believe about the world we are living in;
According to Joshua project, there are about 2.9 billion people who have never had the gospel of Jesus Christ or had a chance to find any one to help them know about Christ! Who do you think is responsible to reaching out these people if not you and me!

God has opened my eyes this week to see the great commission in another way. I used to think that it's for some special people with a special call but that is not the case, it's everyone's call to reach out to the unreached people with gospel of Jesus Christ. Not all that can go to the mission ground, but each of us can be directly responsible for the gospel to reach those far places. No one is an exception, to this great commission. What are you going to do about it?

Don't expect things to change in your family if you keep the bible out of your house. Only the Bible has the power to settle most of the challenges that we face in our family. I can't explain how God does it but every time you give time to the reading of God' word in your home, God works out your challenges miraculously. Just try it out!

GOD’S PLAN TO ADOPT US INTO HIS FAMILY
When we read all the promises made and blessings we have received in the Bible it can seem too good to be true, were it not for the fact that we can trust God and everything He says.
As all potential adoptive parents know, the process to adopt a child is frustrating and takes a big investment in time and resources. However, our own Father in heaven persevered and planned our adoption patiently, looking to the time when we would be safely in His home, loved and cherished as children of His very own.
Being adopted by God means that we are accepted into His family and brings a multitude of blessings and responsibilities.
Being legally adopted by God means that we receive new rights
Christians are legally adopted as sons into God’s family. Paul uses the term ‘adopted as sons’ to write to the believers in Rome, where they would have understood this in a specific context. Under Roman law, if you were an adopted son, you had identical legal rights to a son born naturally in the family. An adopted son had the right to the family name of the person who adopted him and the right to an inheritance of the father’s property.
“But when the fullness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,
To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
For us, this means that we have been given the name of Christ and have the right to be called Christians. Our inheritance is nothing less than the the property of our Heavenly Father—all the spiritual riches that are in Christ, both in the present life and in our life to come.
Under Roman law, the adopted son also had the right to the father’s citizenship of the Empire. We also obtained a new citizenship when our Father adopted us and we have become citizens of heaven—our true home. Galatians 4:4-7
Being adopted by God means that He will care for us
The father who adopts was also granted full rights and responsibilities of a natural father—he had complete authority over the adopted son and also had the legal role of caregiver. With full, loving authority over us, our Father has accepted His responsibility to care for us and He also has the right, and desire, to correct us when we are wrong and to discipline us when we step out of line.
Our Father God is infinitely patient, wise and loving and the Bible tells us that the fact that God does discipline us is proof in itself that we have been adopted into His family.
Being adopted by God means that many relationships will change.
We have a new relationship with God — through believing in what Jesus Christ has done for us God the condemning Judge, who must punish every sin we have ever committed according to the just and perfect law, has instead become our loving Father who forgives us.
God is no longer far off and unapproachable, but near and easily accessible; we can come to Him whenever we desire though the intercession of Christ. The Bible tells us that God wants us to come to Him, He longs for us to spend time with Him, to talk with Him about everything that is happening in our lives—our Father in heaven wants to listen to us and care for us.
Being adopted by God changes our relationship with Him entirely and affects all three Members of the Holy Trinity:
With God the Father—He is no longer the Judge who must condemn us for our wrongdoings, but truly our loving Father;
With God the Son—not only is He our Lord and Saviour, but He also becomes our Brother;
With God the Holy Spirit—He not only calls us and sanctifies us, but also becomes the Spirit of Adoption within us. He witnesses to our own spirit within us that we are a child of God (listen to Him). The Holy Spirit becomes our guarantee and our Father’s initial down-payment of the divine inheritance we will receive and a seal upon our hearts that we belong to God. It is through the Holy Spirit that we can cry out to God, “Abba, Father.”
Our adoption by God also changes our relationship with every person in the world—both Christians and non-Christians. Our relationship to everyone else who has been adopted by God is changed, and no matter what the distance is between us—whether they live near or far, or whether they are alive today or have already fallen asleep and passed on from this life, they are all our brothers and sisters.
Our relationship with non-believers has also changed, for they are still dead in their sins and we are no longer a part of their family. We have different interests from them now; our interests are no longer selfish and centered on the glorifying of ourselves or of other people, but we should only be concerned with bringing glory to God.
Being adopted by God means that we are loved
As we have seen, the promises and love of God are so marvelous as to be almost unbelievable. But we can be sure that we can trust what He has told us and, as we can trust Him, we should also do our best to live in a way that pleases Him and brings honor to our family.
As you read the Bible verses about the Christian Life make a stand to try your best each day to walk as we should in this wonderful new life we have received. As you do so, God the Son, our Redeemer and Brother, God our Creator and Heavenly Father and God the Holy Spirit, our Spirit of Adoption and Guarantee of Salvation, have promised that They will help you and give you the power and the strength to fulfill this desire.

FATHERS, WE CAN DO MORE TOGETHER TO REACH OUT TO THE CHILDREN IN THIS CROOKED AND PERVERSE GENERATION.

GODLY FATHERS MINISTRY
“Empowering the fathers to reach out to the children”
“Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6

Introduction;
Godly Fathers Ministry is a Christian based organization that aims at empowering fathers in raising godly children in this generation and the generations to come.
“And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes.” Deuteronomy 6:6-8
God’s has designed that children should get the first hand information about their heavenly father from their parents. Fathers are to be earthly representative of God in heaven to their children.
The fathers have ignored their God given responsibility of passing on godly principles to their children and as a result the ungodly generation is raising up.
Many fathers who have come to know Christ when they are grown up find it so difficult in raising godly children because they don’t know how to do it.
The Godly Fathers Ministry aims at helping godly fathers to be able to fulfill their God given responsibility of raising godly children and hence raising a godly generation.
“ Even so it is not the will of the Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish.” Matthew 18:14
