Waiting in Mercy

2 Peter 3:9
The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

God’s not slow… He’s strategic.
He waits because He loves, He wants everyone to get a chance to turn back to Him. So if it feels like life is “delayed,” don’t stress. God’s timing is full of purpose. His promise is still loading.

The Strength of Hope

“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” — Isaiah 40:31

God doesn’t just help you survive. He helps you soar.
If you’re tired, stressed, or worn out, Isaiah 40:31 is for you: Put your hope in God, and He’ll renew your strength. Eagles don’t flap hard, they rise on the wind.

Let God be your wind today. You will soar, you will run, and you will not quit

Beloved congregation, hear the plea of the Psalmist as he cries out to God, "Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me." He recognizes the gravity of the separation that would result if God were to turn away from him. It is a plea for mercy and grace, for restoration and reconciliation.

The Psalmist recognizes that the joy of his salvation has been lost, and he longs for it to be restored. He understands that this can only happen if he is granted a willing spirit, one that is open to the leading of the Holy Spirit. For it is only with the help of the Holy Spirit that he can sustain his walk with God.

How often have we, like the Psalmist, found ourselves in a place of despair, crying out for God to restore us? How often have we felt the weight of our sin and the fear of separation from God? The good news is that God is always willing to restore us. He is always willing to forgive and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Let us then come before God with a contrite heart, like the Psalmist, and seek His forgiveness and restoration. Let us ask for a willing spirit that is open to the leading of the Holy Spirit, so that we may sustain our walk with God. And let us rejoice in the knowledge that God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

May the joy of our salvation be restored to us today, and may we walk in the fullness of God's love and grace, now and forevermore. Amen.

Dear friends,

Today's Bible verse from Matthew 10:16 reminds us that as Christians, we are sent out into the world to spread the message of God's love and grace. However, the world we live in can often be hostile and challenging, just like sheep among wolves.

But Jesus doesn't leave us defenseless. He instructs us to be shrewd as snakes and innocent as doves. What does this mean for us today?

Being shrewd as snakes means being wise and discerning in our actions and decisions. We should be alert to the dangers around us and use our God-given wisdom to navigate the challenges we face. We must be mindful of the world's temptations and distractions, which can easily lead us astray from God's path.

At the same time, we must remain innocent as doves. This means having a pure heart and a childlike faith, trusting in God's goodness and mercy. We should always strive to be kind and compassionate to others, even in the face of adversity. We must be a light in the darkness and a beacon of hope to those around us.

So, my friends, as we go out into the world, let us remember to be shrewd as snakes and innocent as doves. Let us navigate the challenges of this world with wisdom and discernment, while remaining true to our faith and God's commandments. May God grant us the strength and courage to be His faithful servants, spreading His love and grace to all those we encounter. Amen.

My beloved community, as we gather here today, let us reflect on the powerful message conveyed in Philippians 4:13 - "I can do all this through him who gives me strength."

The scripture reminds us that we are never alone in our struggles and challenges. When we rely on our own strength and abilities, we may feel overwhelmed and powerless. However, through the power of God, we can conquer any obstacle that comes our way.

It is easy to become discouraged when faced with adversity, but we must remember that we have a source of strength that is greater than our own. When we trust in God and lean on his power, we can accomplish more than we ever thought possible.

No matter what difficulties we may be facing - whether it's financial hardship, health problems, or relationship issues - we can have faith that God will provide the strength we need to overcome them. It's not about our own abilities or talents, but rather our willingness to rely on God and his power.

So, my friends, as we go out into the world, let us remember this powerful message from Philippians 4:13. Let us have faith in God's strength and know that we can do all things through him who gives us power. May this knowledge give us the courage and strength to face any challenge that comes our way. Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

Today we are gathered to reflect on the words of wisdom found in Proverbs 16:3, which states, "Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans." This verse reminds us of the power of putting our trust and faith in the Lord, and how doing so can lead to the success and fulfillment of our plans and goals.

When we commit to the Lord, we are recognizing that He is the source of all wisdom and guidance. We are admitting that we cannot do everything on our own, and that we need His help to navigate this life. By entrusting our plans to the Lord, we are recognizing that He is the one who gives us the ability to succeed, and that He is the one who can ultimately bring our plans to fruition.

It is important to note that the Lord doesn't promise us that our plans will always go exactly as we expect them to. However, what He does promise us is that He will be with us through all of life's ups and downs. When we face challenges, the Lord gives us the strength and guidance to overcome them. When we encounter obstacles, the Lord gives us the wisdom to find a way around them. When we feel lost and uncertain, the Lord provides us with the comfort and peace that we need to keep moving forward.

In short, when we commit to the Lord, we are putting our faith in the one who has the power to make all things possible. By doing so, we open ourselves up to the blessings and opportunities that come from living in relationship with Him.

So my friends, let us make a commitment to the Lord today. Let us entrust our plans to Him, and let us trust in His ability to establish them. With the Lord by our side, we can accomplish anything that He has called us to do.

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

Today, we gather to meditate on the words of Saint Paul in Galatians 1:10. In this verse, Paul asks a question that has been echoed throughout the ages: "Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ."

As we reflect on this verse, we are presented with an important question of our own: Who do we strive to please in our lives? Are we living our lives to earn the approval of others, or are we living to please our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ?

In a world that is constantly seeking attention and validation, it can be easy to get caught up in the pursuit of pleasing others. We might worry about what people think of us, how they perceive us, and whether or not they approve of us. But this is not the way of the faithful.

As servants of Christ, our first and foremost concern must be to please God. Our lives must be lived for His glory, not for the approval of others. We must be willing to stand up for our faith, even when it means going against the opinions of those around us.

It is only by putting God first in our lives that we can truly live as servants of Christ. When we focus on pleasing Him, our hearts become transformed and we are filled with His peace and joy.

So, let us not be swayed by the opinions of others. Let us not be tempted by the allure of worldly approval. Instead, let us be steadfast in our commitment to pleasing God, living our lives as servants of Christ, and spreading His love to all those around us.

May God bless us in our endeavors and may we always strive to live as faithful servants of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.

Don't Use Foul or Abusive Language: The Message of Ephesians 4:29

In a world where foul and abusive language is all too common, the Bible provides a clear and concise reminder of the importance of using language that is wholesome and edifying. The verse, “Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen” (Ephesians 4:29 NIV), reminds us that our words have the power to uplift or tear down.

As believers in Jesus Christ, we are called to be ambassadors of God’s love and grace. Our words should reflect the love, peace, and joy that come from our relationship with Him. The Bible teaches us that the tongue is a powerful tool, and that it can be used for good or for evil.

Today's bible verse comes from Hebrews 4:12, which states, "For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it pe*****tes even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart."

This verse reminds us of the power and significance of the word of God in our lives. The word of God is not just a collection of ancient texts, but a living force that has the power to change us from the inside out. It is sharper than any weapon, able to pe*****te our deepest thoughts and motivations, revealing the truth about who we are and what we believe.

The word of God has the power to divide our soul and spirit, and to judge the thoughts and attitudes of our heart. Glorying in Suffering: The Path to Hope

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

As we gather here today, let us reflect on the words of Romans 5:3-5. These verses remind us that suffering is not something to be feared or shunned, but rather an opportunity for us to grow and develop in our faith.

The apostle Paul tells us that we can glory in our sufferings because we know that they produce perseverance, which in turn produces character. And it is through this growth in character that we are able to build a foundation of hope.

Hope is not something that can be taken away from us, for it is rooted in the love of God that has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit. This love gives us the strength and courage to persevere through the toughest of trials, knowing that there is a brighter future ahead.

So, my friends, let us embrace our sufferings with open arms, not shying away from the challenges that come our way. For it is through these struggles that we are able to develop the character and hope that will sustain us for a lifetime.
