Ecclesiastes 12:1

Remember your Creator in the days of your youth, before the days of trouble come and the years approach when you will say, “I find no pleasure in them”—

So often people think serving God is something to do when you are older and more serious about life. However, this scripture reminds us to remember our Creator in the days of our Youth. This means we need to seek God early in our lives. To truly seek God, you need to firstly have an encounter with the creator by being saved from eternal condemnation caused by sin – be born again. An acknowledgement of that you were born a sinner but through faith in Jesus Christ who died and rose again, you are justified.
The Creator is God, our heavenly father who brings something out of nothing. In Genesis, we see the foundations of creation by God who made the heavens and earth and on the sixth day made man (Genesis 1:27). Since then God set a pattern in life of fruitfulness within His creation. His creative work did not stop in creation but continues to this day.

Psalm 139:13-14

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;your works are wonderful,I know that full well.

Time
The days of youth represent the importance of serving God when you still have time. Being young is associated with having an abundance of time to live and a future ahead. The scripture reminds us to serve God when we you have this abundance of time to do so.

Psalm 90:12

As a young person, often your basic needs are the responsibility of your parents and most of your responsibilities in life are limited compared to when you are grown up. This means your younger days are the best to start serving God and getting your relationship with God strengthen by reading His word, prayer, witnessing, and serving Him wherever there is a need.

So often, young people use the gift of time to get involved in sin, which separates them from God. With the available time comes numerous distractions, which seek to attract and destroy the lives of young people. Young people’s time is so often spent on various things such as alcohol, drugs, unrighteous relationships and other time wasters such as television, games, social media platforms etc. Some timewasters may not be sinful when used appropriately, but when used excessively they may become addictive and destructive. I Corinthians 15:33 says, Do not be misled: “Bad company corrupts good character.” The company you keep does not refer to other people only, but also who and what you spend your time doing.

Everyone, will have to give an account to God on how they used the time God gave them on this earth, hence our focus must be dedicated to our Creator who created us for a purpose of serving and living for Him. As a young person it is of outmost importance that you redeem the time, use it wisely (Ephesians 5: 15-16) and invest in your relationship with God.

God Knows Every Hair on Your Head
So is it possible that He knows your true identity

S

God knows every detail about you — your likes/dislikes, personal characteristics, locations, family, and so much more. He’s an expert on you. He could write a book about you. He could write THE book about you.

God even knows how many hairs are on your head:

“So do not be afraid of them, for there is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known. What I tell you in the dark, speak in the daylight; what is whispered in your ear, proclaim from the roofs. Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell. Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows”

(Matthew 10:26–31 NIV)

"And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so as to walk in a manner worthy of the LORD, fully pleasing to Him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God."

Colossians 1:9-10

ENGAGING WITH GOD THROUGH THE BIBLE

Paul says his prayer for the Colossians is that they would be "filled with the knowledge of God's will," and that this knowledge would be a full, well-rounded knowledge. Isn't this your prayer for your students? The knowledge of God and His desires for us is the foundation of students' faith lives. This knowledge is the wisdom that comes from knowing God by engaging with the Bible. I believe your primary goal as a youth worker is helping students love God and know God. This happens most completely through meeting Him in His Word.

THE LIVING OUT OF GOD'S WAYS

Teaching students the Bible outside of life change isn't enough. We must help them live it out. We must help them apply it. Paul says our knowledge of God leads to a life that is pleasing to God, where the individual "bears fruit in every good work." If I asked you what you want for your students, if I asked you what your goal is for them, wouldn't your answer be along these lines? Don't you do what you do so that your students will live transformed lives? Paul says the knowledge of God leads to godly living.

CONTINUATION

I love the way Paul ends it. He describes a process of growing in knowledge so that our lives would be fruitful . . . so that we can in turn continue to grow in knowledge! It's a process. When I read this in the context of a purpose statement for youth ministry, I see this part of the verse as speaking to the lives your students live beyond your ministry. If you help your students grow in the knowledge of the Lord, and encourage and promote godly living, you are in a sense working alongside other influencers to help these students lay a foundation. This foundation will be built upon for years and years as your students go off to college, get married, and raise families of their own.

God bless you all

"Purpose Of Youths In The Kingdom Of God"

God sent the church into the world as part of it’s redemptive mission. The church can not be well expanded without some people that God will use. The older men have put in their efforts while they were still young and vibrant and that is why we are having men of God these days who are always willing to do despite the fact that they are old.

Youth are the future of the church and they are totally needed for the expansion of the kingdom of God and to depopulate the kingdom off the devil. Youth are known to be strong people full of strength and ability to do things easily without stress. The most important place where youth could be well valued is in the house of God, here their talents would be easily discovered and their vision well accomplished in a positive way.

If youth fail to explore their youthful age for God or rather could not be used by God then there is a wicked man the devil waiting to receive such youth into his kingdom to use them against their own will as we know that an idle man is a devil’s workshop.

SOME OF THE ROLES OF THE YOUTH IN GOD’S KINGDOM EXPANSION.

1. DEDICATION: Youth are meant to be dedicated to God’s work at all time without being force to work for Him.

2. FERVENT IN PRAYER: A prayer less man is a powerless man,. For a man to succeed in life, he must engage in relationship and good communication with the one that can help him and the best helper one can have in life is God. Asides this, nothing can be done.without prayer, to be able to face the devil, then one must be able to make his altar of prayer so hot for the enemies.Even though your pastor cannot see you, be a backbone of the church by interceding for it and God who sees in secret will reward you openly.

3. WELL ROOTED IN THE WORD OF GOD: The amount of His word in you will determine how far you can grow. The word of God is n amour by which the devil can be fought. Let His word be your meal, chew it day and night and digest it. Use the truth you know through the word to support the church.

The Value of Youth to the Cause of God

Which is the most difficult era of human life? Infancy? Adolescence? Mature adulthood? Agedness? It probably depends upon where you are as to how you might answer that query.

While many might suggest that one’s sunset years are the hardest, my own judgment would be that the period designated as youth might be the most challenging.

Youth is a frustrating time in life. It is that period when one is hardly old enough to be on his own, and yet he is feeling a sense of independence. Youth ever are attempting to find some sense of identity; that is why they sometimes act and dress so weird. They are bizarre!

But then, so were we.

The Scriptures represent youth as a time both of danger and challenge. Moses said that “the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth” (Gen. 8:21), and Paul admonished Timothy to “flee youthful lusts” (2 Tim. 2:22).

By way of contrast, though, the Creator also recognizes the value of youth to the divine cause. Youngsters have energy, they are daring, their hearts are filled with visions of the future. Indeed, they can be a most valuable component in the service of Jehovah.

Solomon, who wasted much of his life in folly, perhaps thought better of the matter in his declining days. He contended:

“Remember now your Creator in the days of your youth, before the evil days come and the years draw near when you will say, I have no pleasure in them” (Eccl. 12:1).

Again, Paul would say to Timothy:

“Let no man despise your youth; but you be an example to them that believe, in word, in manner of life, in love, in faith, in purity” (1 Tim. 4:12).

It strikes me that whereas our youth can be quite impetuous and sometimes a bit silly, they are, nonetheless, a wonderful resource in the kingdom of heaven.

The fact is, the Bible is replete with examples of how God has used younger people in some of the most vital roles in the unfolding of his marvelous plan of redemption.

Let’s reflect upon some striking examples that demonstrate God’s confidence in youth.

Inner Most/Heart to Serve God

Our society is obsessed with physical appearance. That's why many people spend time at health clubs, why one of the fastest growing industries in this country is plastic surgery, and why people are continually on diets and joining Weight Watchers. Millions of money are spent each year in the health and fitness industries.

Don't misunderstand me, I am all for physical fitness and being in shape. But God has another standard. When Samuel was looking for a man to succeed Saul as King of Israel, God said to Samuel, "Do not look at his appearance or his stature, because I have rejected him. Man does not see what the LORD sees, for man sees what is visible, but the LORD sees the heart" (1 Sam. 16:7). Whereas man places a high price on the externals God examines deep within that man for something more. Man judges one on the basis of one's appearance, but God critiques the heart.

In Biblical thought, the heart was the central organ that controlled all activities thus determining one's character of living. The heart housed the place where qualities worth having in our lives were first formed. The heart embodied the womb of character.

David's heart was right. He was the skinny little sheep herder who became King of Israel, the man whom Samuel sought and found to succeed Saul. He was a mighty warrior, a valiant general, an inspired leader, a successful businessman, a skilled marksman, and a gifted psalm writer. But the thing that impressed God about David was his heart. God "I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after My heart, who will carry out all My will" (Acts 13:22). David allowed God to mold and fashion his heart into that which would be pleasing to him. God focused on his character more than physical stature. He concentrated on his integrity and not just outward looks.

God bless you

LEANING ON GOD

We need to lean on God when life is overwhelming because He is our strength, our lifeline and the one who directs our steps. We need to lean on Him when we don’t have the answers, when the mountain we need to be moved, doesn’t move, when the flood water’s rise and there is no way out. We desperately need Him, we need His presence, His peace, We need Him to be our refuge and our shield when life is hard to get us through those days we just want to give up.

Isaiah 41:10

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right.

Being a young Christian today is something really incredible. In the middle of a dark and evil world, you can shine as a light! But as young people we experience temptation – we are definitely very drawn by our lusts.

"We pursue God because, and only because, He has first put an urge within us that spurs us to the pursuit. "No man can come to me," said our Lord, "except the Father which hath sent me draw him," and it is by this very prevenient drawing that God takes from us every vestige of credit for the act of coming."
