LIFE GIVING DAILY DEVOTION
Text Matthew 26:40-41 And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour?
Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

Jesus tells the disciples to watch and pray so that they may not fall into temptation. Prayer leads us out of temptation, it's one major thing that enables us to overcome temptation.

What is letting us down is that the fresh is weak, so prayer helps to strengthen the fresh. Prayer makes the fresh subjective to the willingness of the spirit.

It's until you start giving yourself to pray that you'll see the fresh going the same direction as your spirit dictates. Very important to note.

The body has to be natured through prayer and meditation, while doing so you're aligning it with the Will of God.

Matthew 18:3-4, 10 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.

If we humble ourselves like children. Then our angels will be in the presence of our Father all time.

God exalts the humble and He is mindful over the humble. The Children are referred to not because they don't do mistakes, but they are humble and obedient. It is a necessity to all of us to be humble.

And the benefits of humbling yourself unto God is that your angel books a place in the presence of our Father. This makes you a point of focus wherever you are. You'll have become a treasure to the heaven.

Matthew 25:1-4 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.
And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.
They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:
But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.

Dear brethren, preparing yourself for a task a head of you is very important. Some people always say we shall see from there. That's not right.

Yes God has called you for something, you also need to put in some work of preparation. Make the research, pray for it which will help you to generate the sufficient anointing to accomplish the task.

My dear friend things don't just happen, there's need to store enough food in preparation for the famine that's going to hit the world, if I can relate this to Joseph's story in Egypt.

Achieve the necessary requirements for task a head of you.

Colossians 3:1-2 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

This is an instruction calling upon us to be mindful of the things above. If you're saying you're a Christian then seek the things above where Christ is.

Sometimes you'll not be understood if you say you're a Christian but you're bonding up with none believers to look for the things on earth.

The heaven expects us to put our complete love and desire on the things above where Christ sits.

To be affectionate over something, is basically to have that complete love and desire coupled with trust. We have to completely be one minded while following Christ.

2 Corinthians 3:5-6 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God;
Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.

It's one thing to speak about God and it's another to credit every ability you poses unto God.

It's also very important to realize that, you handed over your life unto God and every question of life pointed unto you, you don't answer, you take it back unto God. Yes my dear, because the sufficiency is of God not you.

Labor so much not to think anything of yourself but everything credit it to God. Even in little or simple things, and sometimes you may have gained experience and able to do such with easy, still credit it to God.

Don't stop praying and thanking God for those simple and little things which you have gained experience in.

The sufficiency is of God. Hallelujah

John 7:37 In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.

Also, Matthew 5:3, 6 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

When we thirst for God, Holy spirit we get filled of him. You have to hunger for him, are you yet at a point when you are hungry for him, you'll find him.

The big reason to why you have to fast is to generate that hunger for God and not for food, and when it comes to the end of the day's fast, your eagerness should be pointed at what you expect from God not a relief from hunger and preparing yourself to show food what hunger is.

LIFE GIVING DAILY DEVOTION

Romans 10:16-17 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?
➡️So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Take a good note of where I put the arrow.
When reading that scripture it gives us an understanding that you don't use your ears to hear but you use the word of God to hear.

For it says faith comes *by* hearing and hearing *by* the word of God.
For the word "by" means through which means using in this context.

You use the word to hear/perceive. And that's why in the verse before we are asked whose report shall you believe.
For when they say you're sick, you don't just perceive it like that, you have to perceive it through the word, e.g by his stripes we were healed. Hallelujah.

Galatians 2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

Putting your faith in Jesus Christ makes you righteous, it's until when you decide to commit your life to Christ that you'll find justification of your life.

You need to value the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, as one which is enough to make you acceptable unto God. uphold it highly as the only thing to qualify you for God's blessings.

You please God because Christ will have made you pleasant. Never forget that Christ is the one who renews our lives and gives it a better start. Have faith in Christ our Lord.

1 Samuel 15:22-23 And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.
For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king.

One key thing that God requires from every man is obedience, when your obedience is still lacking then you have along way to go in terms of serving him satisfactory.

Most of the times people are busy doing sacrificial activities but while they are not obedient to God. Your sacrifice will not make way for you. You need to obey God first.

The bible labels disobedience as witchcraft, this should intrigue you to have your life subject to the word of God, because He goes on to say when you reject his word then he also rejects you.

LIFE GIVING DAILY DEVOTION

Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

God tells Joshua to meditate on the bible day and night, because he wanted him to grasp the instructions in the word.

The word of God is a way of life to a believe, it's not just like worldly constitutions or laws, this operates from your Spirit, it mentors you, natures and builds you up. It wants to work in you instinctively, whereby you don't need anyone anymore to tell you to do anything or not do anything, but it's part of you to know what to do and what you're not supposed to do.

Brethren let us embrace the ability to have the word of God stored in us and it's through meditation. And in that way you'll have instinctively mentored your body parts to do the right things without even thinking about them, even making the right decisions without giving a thought about them, why because you've ushered them in a higher realm of living.

Psalms 16:10-11 For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

In this life there's a path of life which can only be shown to you by God, nothing else.
Name all things in this world, they have no way to life, only God can show you the way of life.

This triggers you as an individual about how you aught to go about your life and where to spend your resources.

You can only find joy and pleasure in his presence and at his right hand, and all these are at our disposal. Hallelujah
