Lord, bless me—I won’t abuse it.
I don’t want a blessing just for the sake of having more. I don’t want increase just for personal comfort or applause. I want to be blessed so I can be a blessing.
I want You to trust me with favor, with open doors, with opportunities—and I promise, I won’t misuse what You give me.
Deuteronomy 8:18 says,
"But remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms His covenant."
That means every gift, every promotion, every breakthrough, every miracle—it all comes from You, and it’s all for You.
Lord, I don’t just want a house—I want a home that hosts Your presence.
I don’t just want money—I want resources that fund kingdom work.
I don’t just want influence—I want impact that brings people to Jesus.
Bless me, but anchor me in humility.
I’ve seen what happens when people let the blessing replace the Blesser. I’ve seen hearts grow cold when success comes. But not me, Lord. Keep me grounded. Keep me grateful.
Like Hannah, I’ll give it back to You.
Like Solomon, I’ll ask for wisdom over riches.
Like Joseph, I’ll use the palace to preserve others.
Like Jesus, I’ll use authority to serve, not dominate.
If You bless me with platforms, I’ll point people to You.
If You bless me with peace, I’ll be a peacemaker.
If You bless me with influence, I’ll be a voice for the voiceless.
If You bless me with time, I’ll spend it with You.
Because I don’t just want to be blessed—I want to be found faithful.
Psalm 67:1-2 says,
"May God be gracious to us and bless us and make His face shine on us—so that Your ways may be known on earth, Your salvation among all nations."
That’s the cry of my heart:
Bless me, Lord—but let the blessing preach.
Let it point people to You. Let it glorify You. Let it never become my idol or identity.
So I ask with boldness, but also with surrender:
Bless me, Lord—and I won’t abuse it.
